    Considering chelsea last season didnt play to Torres's strengths at all, and now that this season they are you can tell hes coming good, this thread is quite naive.

    You are wrong there, if he stays for 10 years and the rate of valuing players continues to increase he may one day be worth 35 Million. :)

    By which time Someone of similar age such as Sturridge could be worth 90m? :)

    EDIT: Acctually in 10 years carrol will be 32 and will leave on a free to play for a championship team ;)

    I'm using Manyoo rules.

    If the defence concedes, they're still the best in the galaxy, probably the universe.
    If the midfield neither scores nor assists, they're still the best in the galaxy, probably the universe.
    If the strikers don't score, they're still the best in the galaxy, probably the universe.

    Carroll is OK, but he's just a gypsy Peter Crouch. A few years ago he was offered to Hull, Preston and a couple of other Championship clubs for around half a million. You're not telling me that since then he's magically turned into a £35m player. He's certainly improved, but if Liverpool had paid anything more than £10m I would have laughed.

    Torres is a quality player and will come good this season, provided he avoids silly mishaps like yesterday's red card.
