watching our goals, good lob by hitchcock with perfect weight on it. pretty good own goal by them for our 2nd and it was great to see harrolds height again which got us the point with his header. what a shocking penalty as well!
Dire penalty, but hey ho, we got to 60 points and that ain't at all bad considering where we were just 4 short months ago. Well done the lads and JW, let's build on this for next season. UTG!
Last year we ended up 13th with less points at 57 go figure? It feels that we have enjoyed a better time under John Ward perhaps as we were in a dire position similar to City under a Scot however we put together such a good run during JW's reign the feelgood factor returned to the mem and we managed not to lose the last match 4-0 result!!! My end of term report reads poor start to the season followed by a period of extra practice led to a more than satisfactory recovery, unfortunately the team were distracted by the lure of distant sun loungers in the final few matches, which meant that the season fizzled out, rather than ended on a high.Excellent potential for 2013/2014 season, will improve further with more personell changes and improved focus on the field of play. COR
Not only were they distracted by the lure of distant sun loungers, they also very much missed O'Toole is central midfield. Without him, or someone like him, we look too lightweight in the middle of the park. A 'must fill' position for next season.
