The Rs fan celebrated her 100th birthday last week, and besides the Queen’s congratulatory telegram, Ms Scott got a surprise visit from Rs new captain Nedum Onuoha. Great nephew Michael Hollamby revealed that from 1923 to 1995 - 72 seasons, the fan who lives a stone's throw from Loftus Road never missed a home game, not one, either at the current ground or White City - some 3,000 visits in total. Onuoha told the club’s website Onuoha said: “It was lovely to meet Edith and be a part of her celebrations." “All the family are QPR fans and Edith has seen it all over the years. I hope I’m as full of life as she is when I’m her age.” Murphy earned a free trip to Thailand from Tony Fernandes for his 756 miles round-trip away day to Sunderland last season, but fan Anna Gibson reckons she too has a claim on the chairman’s generosity. “I live in Bangkok,” she said. “I travelled back to Wembley in May last year for the Play-Off final (and what a great day it was) - that is serious air miles for one match! Do I get a holiday?”
