Have considered getting Coutinho myself, Gerrard seems the safe bet though.

I normally avoid getting players name on my shirt because they end up leaving. I decided to break that trend and get Suarez on the back ... #Fail

I was surprised Allen didn't make the top ten as well, given that he's the 'British Alonso' <laugh>

    Don't see any surprises there.

    I'll be getting Coutinho.

it never ever ceases to amaze me how shirt sales keep on keeping on no matter who it is.

Torres was supposedly a merchandising god along with gerrard... then was suarez?

nowis coutinho... but how many shirts? 20k, 30k?

We don't know exactly how many are sold. However, Torres was a world known name combined with our presence in Europe. This would have led to non LFC fans buying our shirts with his name on specifically.

I'm not surprised Coutinho is no. 1, flavour of the month and all that but Suarez and Henderson both surprised me,

Suarez perhaps a slight surprise, given his apparent lack of respect shown to the club, but not really surprised about Henderson. The lad works very hard, has a decent touch, and in my opinion may well develop into a new Sounessesque figure in midfield. Certainly I think his game is constantly developing and he will be challenging Lucas and Allen for a starting berth this season.

Henderson's excellent in my opinion and will only get better. He plays like he cares <ok>

Don't get me wrong I like Henderson but the names people get on shirts are chosen above everybody else and given the choice, who would have his name on a shirt?

OK, put it this way - if you're an average schoolkid with average skills, and you're not a 'popular jock' type (I'm sure Bluff will understand the expression), but you're a sort who'll play your heart out, who exactly would you have on your shirt, a player who you know you're not going to get near, or one who you can empathise with closely?

At least that's why I was never a Fowler or a Rush, I was always a Jones (in my head)...

  14. I'm getting 'Gerrez' on mine...

St - good points, but does that mean you also think that if you're a kid with great skills you wear Coutinho shirts, and only kids who play goalie wear Reina shirts?

I was a bit more inspirational, I have only one personalised shirt with Owen on, my favourite player at time, although it was bought for me as a present as I wouldn't personalise one from choice.

Isn't it aspirational not inspirational? Easy to get them two mixed up

  17. I often claimed to be Jones too (assuming you mean Rob rather than Paul <laugh>). He was one of my favourite players growing up, only bettered by God himself <ok>

    PS...currently reading 'Robbed' too
