This is how the top seven have performed over the last ten games,

    1.....Northampton.....goals for.....19.....goals against 6.....plus 13 goals.....23pts.
    2.....Oxford................goals for.....24.....goals against 10....plus 14 goals.....19pts.
    3.....Bristol R.............goals for.....18.....goals against 10....plus ..8 goals.....19pts.
    4.....Leyton O...........goals for......10.....goals against 10..........even.............19pts.
    5.....Accrington S.....goals for......13.....goals against 12....plus 1.................16pts.
    6.....Portsmouth......goals for......13.....goals against 11....plus 2.................15 pts.
    7.....Plymouth A......goals for........9......goals against..9...........even.............10 pts.

Argyle have fallen away dramatically......only Northampton have a better defence in this time, yet our lack of goals scored just emphasises how good our defence is in keeping us going.

We have been well out scored by the top three and also by the others as well.

If this form continues we will be out of the play-offs for sure.

Just concern sensible that Derek Adams comments on the game..... conflicts with what most other people observed.

Yes but your comments, and that's pretty much everywhere not just this thread, do not mention Adams' comments just that Argyle are doomed. You sound like Fraser from Dad's Army. The facts are that we aren't doomed. We might end up doomed and the results aren't exactly going our way currently but we still have as much chance as the rest of them to either gain automatic promotion or remain in a play off place. You talk as if the season is over. Now that Bristol are in the last position lets see how nervous they get looking over their shoulder. All it takes is a couple of results and change of fortune and we could just as easily be off and running once more. Not a dig before you take this the wrong way but I have had to watch with disappointment over the last 5/6 years and not see it from afar. The pain is greater I assure you. But lets not write everything off at this stage for christ sake. There will be twists and turns yet to comee no doubt.

This post comes with a health warning (don't read it if your feeling down) this is how I see it at the moment.

I agree with what you say sensible.....and seeing it up close every home game must be painful......but it's all about momentum and that chart showing form shows that we haven't got any......plus the memory for some of the players of last years play-off disaster must be hard to put out of their minds.

Also loanees can only be greens to a lesser extent than our own players, they will be leaving anyway at seasons end......but even then contracts run out this summer for all of them......some we know have possible extention clauses for another season......I just question their commitment at present....is it there anymore......Reid for example....is he the same player anymore....on the bench Saturday and Brunt isn't keeping him out at the moment either...not even Nardiello (who isn't played, why ?) but this unknown Jamille Matt who is in his mid twenties and hasn't got much of a record anyway.......April 3rd will see the end of Oscar Threlkeld and he will be back to Bolton and that probably will not cheer him up too much either.

Sorry sensible that I'm bringing my own personal little rain cloud along at the moment....but for me the cup is half empty and not half full...and the worrying thing is that Adams seems to think that the team is playing well from his comments on GoS Saturday.....you don't get promoted scoring less than a goal a match....as we are at the moment......some winnable games coming up.....but haven't we just played some of those and didn't do to well......just our luck that Exeter will do the double over us and definately dump us in the play-offs........I can hear them crowing from here.

Right, it is Monday morning which only means one thing; time to put the weekend behind us and look forward to next weekend. Friday is Morecambe away who have only taken 5 points from the last 30 available. Monday York at home (8 out of 30). 6 points from these two will make life seem a whole lot better. I don't believe in 'must win' games (until mathematically they are must win) but less than 4 points from these two and I will be worried.
Still 27 points to play for so plenty of twists and turns yet. In some respects DA was correct about Saturday we did play some decent football for long periods - it was just in the last 3rd where was had nothing. Need a couple of scruffy goals from somewhere and all will be well...

    keep the faith!

Yes Lyndy on paper two winnable games.....we just need to win them....it doesn't matter how at the moment.....we just need momentum, how we achieve it isn't important....two 1-0's....or two 10-9's isn't important just the 6 pts please......I dread to think what will happen if we lose them both.

I would say we have a harder run in than Rovers....their hardest game will be Northampton away....we have to visit Exeter and Portsmouth.

I don't subscribe to this concept of harder run ins or softer run ins. We have games to play and our prediction league must surely tell you that nothing but nothing is predictable. There are no games for any team that they will definately win or lose. The same thing applies to all of the leagues and you only have to look at Leicester as an example. End of last season they looked dead in the water and doomed to relegation. Then they turned it around and have continued with it this season. Have a look on the beeb football site. There are articles that abound about will they won't they and can they or can't they. How frigging rude is that of the beeb and all of the media. What they can't win it can they because they are not one of the usual suspects. What bollox that is.

If you read certain websites then of course Argyle are in the same boat as Leicester. They can't win anything because they are serial losers and not as "big" as some of the others. We supporters almost always believe that as well so why not everyone else. We say as much over and over and I've been as guilty of that in the past as anyone. But in truth it's bollox isn't it. Adams isn't going to slag off his squad at this stage of the season even though he knows we know they were not exactly great. Taking any tints off we were ok in two thirds of the pitch until it came to the pay off move. We are lacking there and I think we have been desperately unlucky again, we were last season, with the wrong players getting injured at the wrong time. We can turn around our fortunes. We may not and if we don't then the world moves on but doesn't end. I refuse to write off this season now, I might in another 3 weeks or so but not now. By giving up all you are doing is confirming the typical stereotype that is the Argyle supporter. They based Fraser on one of them I'm sure.

    Well Bollox it is!!

A few seasons ago we were talking the same stuff but at the other end of the table.. people were saying we would be doomed and not get out of it. Same situation now, they say we wont do it.. we have proved them wrong before.. We have the players to get us up.. they have been there all season and a few injuries that came all at once. That was unfortunate for us, we were flying. We never do it the easy way or make it easy for the fans.. Never give up.. we are at least involved and in it.. I am confident it will happen, we just need a few goals and a bit of luck.. When it cant be achieved then its time to whing.. its in our hands..
