Nigel Pearson has been sacked by OH Leuven

Throws the idea out that King Power doesnt have the finaces to sack Puel

There was a rumour that the reason we weren't sacking Puel was financial?

That doesn't make any sense as Puel is 2 years into a 3 year contract so it would be easy to get rid of him if King Power wanted to - worst that would happen would be a year of "gardening leave" but Puel doesn't seem the vindictive type and there are a number of clubs such as St Ettiene that are rumoured to be after him.

Only reason Puel is here is because King Power want him to be - I still stand by my prediction that he is only here to break up our old team and take the blame for it and will be replaced in the summer when the heir apparents will be leaving their respective clubs.

I think he’s been doing very well lately. Thought we were great today against arguably the most in form team in the league

The performances have been decent the last couple of games. The rest will be if we can turn it into results in the upcoming games against the lower sides or if we revert to how we were against Cardiff/Southampton etc. 7th seems long gone sadly

The performances have been better against the better teams.

We have Palace and Brighton at home coming up after Tottenham. They are the games Puel will be judged on

Agreed, when im more confident of getting something away at Spurs than at home to Palace or Brighton, something isn't right.

We are perfectly set up to play against attacking teams but when we aren't then we struggle to break them down - simply we don't have a player that can unlock defences like Mahrez or anyone that can pass the ball in the middle like Drinkwater for that one season.

I thought that we would try Maddison as CM but hopefully Tielemans will work out so he can work on forming a partnership with Barnes.
