Just saw this and thought it was a fairly good read and pretty sound judgement, although I'd like to see Adam and Rickie a bit higher up the rankings, but it is nice to have two players up there. Interesting to make Zaha number one; he certainly has potential, but from the times I've seen him this year, he is far from the finished product yet. What do you make of the list? Are there any players missing you think should have made it on? http://www.teamtalk.com/southampton/7441901/TEAMtalk-s-Top-10-Championship-stars
This is a crap list. Zaha is going to be a great player but he's not yet, and no way is he the best player in the league, but what annoys me the most is that Sordell, Rodriguez, Maynard and Sharp are all ranked higher than Lambert. So Rickie is the 5th best striker in the league? I don't think so.
i would have had a similar thing but it seems more like young players and how good they could be. If it was the best players then surly Nolan would be there on what he has done in the past. I would say lallana is better than maynard and possibly sordell. but nice to see two saints players in it.
As the guy says, entirely subjective. My subjective list would include Cork, Chaplow and Guly. My completely objective list would have Lambert at number one.
Zaha and Clyne for that matter were horse **** against Saints at St Mary's a couple of weeks back. Palace were probably the worst side I've seen at SMS this season.
this list lost all credibility when lambert wasn't in the top 5 and craig mackail-smith was said to be unlucky not to make the cut
Craig Mackail-Smith unfortunate not to make the list??? He has done f**k all this season and is not good enough for the championship
I don't think the author of the article has watched much Championship football this season. CMS unlucky not to make the cut - he has been horse **** for Brighton! Maynard has been poo for Bristol City too.
A Middlesborough fan on the comments is pointing out that there are no defensive players on the list and that the list is based on stats or media hype rather than footballing merit based on observations. Couldn't agree more.
I couldn't care less what these people (who blatantly have **** in their eyes) think. As far am I'm concerned, Lallana should be in the top 3 and Lambert in top 5 at least.
I know he hasnt been here for long but surely there havent been many more consistent CBs than Hoover this season, the media seem to forget that a team doesnt just consist of attackers and wingers and also Jay Rod better than lambert? You having me on??
