So the top players who received a wage reduction now revert back to their contracted wages but their release clauses also kick in and if a club meets this fee then a deal HAS to be accepted.

    Steven Naismith £2m
    Steve Davis £1.65m
    Steven Whittaker £850k
    Kyle Lafferty £500k
    Mo Edu £350k
    Allan McGregor unknown
    Dorin Goian unknown

Will be interesting to see which players will stick around with Naismith, McGregor, Goian & Edu already saying that they want to stay at the club.

Bu then again you couldn't really blame them if they are offered a deal that eclipses what they are making at the minute.

Charlie Green will be waving his cheque book at them - "Stay put and we,ll see you all right lads , just as soon as we've ****ed the bastardy at the SFA."

Hope so. Even towards Lafferty & Edu, I may have got tired of them but they should be signed up for new contracts to be punted at a higher price next season.

That counts for the square root of **** all. Cuellar was loudly proclaiming his love for Rangers while in contract negotiations with Villa.

dont worry - no one is paying 300k for edu :)

naismiths injury might just scare folks off - good news for you

    would you miss goian?

davis will be off and potentially mcgregor - i dont think mcoist fancies lafferty anyway does he?

He's not even the best central defender at Rangers. Bocanegra has carried him since November. He had a superb start but turned out to be a bit of an anti climax so I'd prefer to see Ross Perry step in, he's never put a foot wrong for us when he's had a chance and its about time he started getting regular appearances.

I really hope the rest of that list can be persuaded to stay, there will be offers in for all of them at a higher wage than they're getting now so wouldn't blame them if they went with the uncertainty of the club. One of many hurdles we need to jump over before even thinking about building for next season.

When did you become an expert in football contracts.

You don't even go to football matches.
