Its just struck midnight on Sunday 19th August 2012,and with all start of the seasons matches played,
except one,at the top of what is probably the best football league, sits FULHAM, maybe not for long ,
but how many other clubs must envy us ,if only for 1 week.
And who is at the bottom, why its a team that their manager said, his previous club has no ambition.
But not wishing to gloat (not much),in his defence,he did take 2 of our most expensives, off the payroll.
And what of our" want away, "to play in CL,"they are languishing, having been beaten by a team also managed
by that man RH.What a moment, can we stay in the top half of the table "I do hope so" .
So for all us FFC fans lets enjoy the moment.

Absolutely - lets enjoy it while it lasts, roscafre, although that will only be until Wednesday when Chelsea play Reading - any result will move us off the top. I've been thinking that the second Saturday of the season is probably as good a time as any to be going to Old Trafford. If Man Utd are still a bit hungover from the end of last season and we play like we did on Saturday, then we might just get something.

Too right ros! I've got a screen dump of the latest PL table as my profile photo on Facebook, I'm getting no end of abuse! My QPR mates aren't happy either! Let's enjoy the moment and hope we continue the season as we've begun it.

Probably shouldn't say anything about ManU usually starting slowly, especially since they haven't even played yet so for now I just hope we go to Old Trafford in offensive mood.

And both on the bench. If you add their (probable) current wages with Barton's that's something like £200k this week or £10m in year down the swanee.

Whatever United do tonight, I'm not overly worried. The Saints fan that upset Bidley has the right idea, even if he's highlighting the wrong teams: Like them, our season won't be defined by how we do against the Champions League teams. We'll pick up some points from those matches, but they are games that everyone expects us - like 75% of the league - to lose. That means anything we get from next weekend's game is a bonus. If we had been beaten on Saturday, it might feel a bit different (no one wants to be on zero and at or near the bottom after two games), but we didn't. Let's have a right go at them and see if we get some reward from it. If we do, happy days; if we don't, no need for despair. Bring 'em on!

I'm quite hopeful about our away form this season. If we can improve on results then, combined with our home form, we've got a lot to look forward to.

I think that the addition of pace through Kaca, Frei & Rodalegga (possibly Mesca too) means we should present a tougher challenge away from home. Too often in the past we've defended quite well but then offered no threat on the counter as a result of the players lacking pace and being played on the wrong side, forcing them to cut in.

I don't think it's too unrealistic (although I'm not expectant) to consider Newcastle's run last season as a target for 2012/13

Sir Alex, in a press conference and asked what keeps him going, said "To knock Fulham off their perch"

I heard Stephen Gerrard's refusing to play for Liverpool so he can force through a move to Fulham and get back into the Champions League next year.

Saw a great quote on the QPR site, something to cheer us up.
" We are now level on points with Man U " now that is positive optimism.

I saw someone on the Norwich site trying to spin Saturday as a good thing. Their argument was that the big danger of second season syndrome is the team realises too late that they're not comfortable and safe after all. Our mauling of them, so the argument goes, will have acted as the biggest, earliest wake up call of all time!
