Sadly that's the u21 league, and we've played 3 more games than some, but if we keep winning against Everton, we are top!

hopefully they can get into the first team... even on the bench and come on.... love to have some youngsters in the team that have come through the ranks

Depends which division we are in next season. Should we fail to get promotion, and I do not believe the we will fail, I would like to see a couple of youngsters given a fairly regular chance. Harry Toffolo is one that springs to mind. From all I hear about him it would be a mistake to ignore him or sell him.

While it would obviously be fantastic if we had lots of youngsters coming through the academy, I am pretty relaxed about whether they get game time or not on the basis that if they're good enough, they will get to play every now and again (i.e. Josh Murphy). I don't think that necessarily means ignoring them - it's just about working out the best way to manage them to improve their level and IMO that doesn't necessarily mean forcing them into the first team when the manager doesn't think they're ready.

The fact is that so many promising players fail to make it that it is unlikely we will get more than one youngster a season able to step up to the first team, if that. It's not as if we're Chelsea with about 40 young players on loan and yet haven't had a youth player come through in years

I'd think Cameron McGeehan more likely than HT? Depends which division we're in, I guess.
Stay put - several. Sneak up, none at all.

Yes Cromer, I'd pretty much agree with your summary.
I'm hoping that now we've invested and achieved the top academy status, we may attract more talented youngsters in future and may even unearth a Gareth Bale or similar. <whistle>
