Am i the only one who thinks they haven't got a clue at the moment who our new manager will be, especially if Lee Clark has ruled himself out.

I am getting more worried about their football nous by the day.

Well I wouldn't have expected them to know anything in the first place.

My suspicions arose when I heard they were Thai businessmen, I thought it unlikely that they'd be English footbal experts. It was backed up with their pushing out of Pearson and replacing him with one of the most clueless managers we've ever had, when some basic research might have put them off both decisions. Then they replaced him with a name, who was tactically inept and not equipped for this division in a number of ways.

Now, despite claiming to want someone with Championship experience (I was thinking the penny had dropped) they have gone for someone with no Championship experience and in fact, little management experience on the whole.

There are 3 or 4 managers I would prefer to Clark, I hope one of them will be chosen, but I'm not confident.

Now they appear to be going full circle and are supposedly chasing the man they forced out when they first came here.

We all thought they sacked Sven and had someone lined up to take the job pretty much straight away. And now we can tell that isnt the case

I am becoming more & more concerned about the appointment (or not) of our new manager. I had initially hoped that there was ‘a plan’ after sacking Sven but as times goes on it seems less apparent that there is.

We don’t really know what is going on behind the scenes but the speculation & rumours flying around do make it look like it really could be anyone, our shortlist, filled with some names which scare me quite frankly, appears to be a mile long!

And although it is a decision which should be carefully considered, some of their previous decisions have shown a lack of consideration & wisdom.

I think the owners thought they would sack Sven and MON would walk straight back in

Think the clueless manager was a friend of and appointed by Mandaric.
Agree that the Thais wouldnt know English football inside out - but they do have people around them that do.
As recruitment man, am sure that Andrew Neville will have input into the final decision.
He does know English football, and certainly knows LCFC.

Sousa was probably a Mandaric appointment, but I don't think even he would push Pearson out out of the blue, I think it was definitely to do with Top and Vichai. I think they suggested the change.

I think they must of played a part in getting rid of Nigel.

But this is what i dont understand, why would they get rid of Nigel and then want him back further down the line

I think the main problem was between Lee Hoos and Nigel.

Nigel didnt get on very well with Ian Stringer either did he

Think it more likely that Mandaric wanted a name at the helm to make us more saleable. Cant see that the Thais would say get us Sousa or the deal is off. Marketing ploy by Milan methinks

Joe Mattock and DJ Campbell both fell out with Nigel too

If he did come back i dont think it would take long for Nigel to fall out with people like Beckford and Bamba

Then something has either gone wrong, they've been naive, been badly advised or the plan is taking longer than anticipated. Lets hope it's the latter...

The squad is more then good enough to get us out of this league. Also after the Leeds game we dont have a match for 2 weeks so if the new man isnt appointed before the weekend they would have time to get the new man in ready for the next game

Absolutely agree re the squad, and as stated before, we really don't know what is happening behind the scenes. Recruitment is supposed to be a confidential process. And yes, I would rather wait for the right man with Rudkin & Stowell continuing until the break.

I guess to some extent our concerns are media created an not by what might be/is actually happening. Just because the neighbours, aunty's cat posted it on twitter doesn't mean it's true!!

    Patience, hope & faith.

Top Snr and Top Jnr - NAFC! work it out yourselves, but the words 'clue' and 'not' are in there, and one of the remaining letters is used on its own!! I was delighted when they arrived, now I'm mortified at their ineptitude. Best thing we can do is to employ Stowell and Rudkin as managers, and get the Micky Adams 'Siege mentality' attitude in. That way we can 'bastard' our way to the Premier league, p1551ng off everyone else in the country, then pray for a miracle.

Failing that, anyone fancy starting up AFC Leicester?
