Last season everyone knew that even before a ball was kicked that Kante was the signing of the season.

This season it is not cut & dry.

Let me predict the possible top 10 signings.

    1) Salah
    2) Lacazette (if Alexis remains)
    3) Rooney
    4) Chicpea
    5) J Rod
    6) Morata (pending medical & personal)
    7) Ake
    8) Pickford
    9) Walker
    10) Tammy Boy

Honorable mentions to B Silva, Maguire et al.

Probable Top 10 flops of the summer signing
    1) Lukaku (World record transfer & World record Agent fee broke poor Rom)
2 ) J Defoe for screwing Sunderland last season
    .. don't care the rest

Feel free to add in your predos.

He won't flop with us, I still see some Chelsea fans being bitter about him, They need to get over it in my opinion.

You mistake bitter for relief Meth, Lukaku was your 4th or 5th choice after you were snubbed by everybody else. We've paid around £10 million less than you bid for Morata and we're successful. Some bitter Utd fans would want to say Morata was our second choice signing buy they need to get over it in my opinion.

I think Klaasen will be good for Everton.

I'm hoping Sissoko will be great for <insert club name here>.

If/when it gets confirmed I can see Iheanacho being a hit for us.

Flop relative to other factors I agree Lukaku similar to Pogba last season. Man U don't help paying extortionate fees.

Not sure if he will count as "top" signing but think Sandro looks a bargain at a reported £5.2m for Everton.
probably the bargain transfer of the window on paper.

I'm stunned that you've put Lukaku top of the flops.

One thing that you are not is predictable <laugh>

I think Lacazette will do really well. Wouldn't bet against him being top scorer.

Salah will look great going forward but I don't see that Liverpool have really addressed the issues in their squad at all; especially defensively.

I'm excited to see what a Kante and Bayayoko partnership brings our midfield.

Lukaku will score goals and do ok. But we'll all be saying how over priced he was this time next year - just like Pogba.

    Flops
Walker - cannot see him getting anywhere near justifying that fee even though that will just as much to do with Peps tactics / team set up.

    Was thinking the same thing.
Liverpool have decent attacking players already in Mane and Coutinho etc.
But other than an illegal attempt at tapping up Van Dijk, they dont seem too concerned that their defence sucks balls.

To be fair, the top two Marquee signings the club has tried to pull off, Van Dick and Keita could both be considered defensive.

They club just wants Marquee players for less than Marquee price and tend to haggle over 25p. I doubt we will get either of them... But the will is there

We've also been rumoured to be linked with that Scottish left back at Hull... Not a Marquee but proves Klopp is at least considering defense.

err according to RB Leipzig we offered 75euro for Keita which even in this bizarre market is a marquee price.

PS i know you live in septicland but just to remind you its spelt defence not defense <grr>

My prediction for player of the season is Gabriel Jesus, unfortunately. I think they've got themselves an absolute baller there.

Kante will do well again no doubt, he didn't do as well for Chelsea as he did for Leicester, but he's very effective, but Jesus to be POTY for me.
