List of top earners for each PL team.

Obscene some of the figures being paid. And also obscene is the difference between top and bottom top earners in the same money laden league.

Manchester United – David de Gea (£375,000-a-week)

Manchester City – Kevin De Bruyne (£350,000-a-week)

    Arsenal – Mesut Ozil (£350,000-a-week)

Tottenham – Harry Kane / Tanguy Ndombele (£200,000-a-week)

    Liverpool – Mohamed Salah (£200,000-a-week)

    Chelsea – Kepa Arrizabalaga / N’Golo Kante (£150,000-a-week)

    Leicester – Jamie Vardy (£140,000-a-week)

Crystal Palace – Wilfried Zaha (£130,0000-a-week)

    Everton – Yerry Mina / Bernard (£120,000-a-week)

West Ham – Andriy Yarmolenko (£115,000-a-week)

Wolves – Joao Moutinho / Rui Patricio (£100,000-a-week)

    Burnley – Danny Drinkwater (£100,000-a-week)

    Southampton – Danny Ings (£75,000-a-week)

Watford – Abdoulaye Doucoure / Andre Gray (£70,000-a-week)

    Newcastle – Jonjo Shelvey (£70,000-a-week)

Brighton – Pascal Gross / Alireza Jahanbakhsh / Martin Montoya (£50,000-a-week)

Sheffield United – Phil Jagielka (£50,000-a-week)

Completely disgusted by the sums of money thrown about by some of the clubs at the top of that list.

Although as a sliding scale, Everton's contract negotiator needs a reality check £120,000 for Yerry Mina!!!
Chelsea aren't as high as I'd expect, along with their move to "youth", although forced, it does look like they are trying to work away from the marquee wage.

I think it's hit a bit of a ceiling. Chelsea TBF to them seem to have embraced the changes enforced on them (in the end!) and I think other teams / owners will hopefully start looking at things a little differently. Entertaining, Football enjoyment, community is what fans are interested in more than trophies. Hopefully more teams will start giving the kids more of a chance.

Jonjo on 70 grand a week, jesus. I can see the pressure on the managers to get him out onto the pitch. They're paying him to literally do nothing.

    Wheres Bournemouth?

Nice to see we're near the bottom, good to know we're not overpaying out useless wasters!

Ozil LOL, and he doesn't even play, nice work of you can get it...

Wages are a big part in the success at any club! If you dont like it dont go.

Somrtimes players do badly , but in general it dictates where clubs finish or at least a general area .

Apart from the top 5 this is nonsense.

We have seen plenty of high wage clubs being relegated or struggling with not even a sniff of success.

For example, Newcastle United, Everton, West Ham, QPR, West Brom, Leeds United to name a few. All Tottenham and Arsenal have achieved with monolithic wages over the past ten years is downright abysmal.

Man Utd are the highest wage budget in the league and after today they could be below us.

It's got everything to do with top scouting and club atmosphere. If players are happy at work they'll put in a good shift, basic human psychology, the wage packet only motivates at the end of the month.

    ...

so why do the wages decrease as you drop down divisions ?!!! obviously you will get a few anomalies like you've pointed out , but as a rule of thumb what I've said is accurate and you've been very specific and not looked at it over a broad enough range.

I think i would prefer the championship for a while at least mate … after 4 years of struggling and hanging on for dear life in every game we play I wouldn't mind being in the division we belong and win a few games

I'm just pulling ye leg mate. I actually agreed with your positive former self, the three games are very winnable.

If we can pick up two wins we will be sat here hailing Bruce's tactical genius, until he has three bad games. Then he will be on the next Sky Sports sack list.

Every game is winnable but with the team we have playing the tactics set up by SB then the probability is not good
