Who do you think will be in top 6 come end of xmas and the international break.. This will define the season and split the teams up who will be relegation candidates... mid table obscurity and play off/ auto contenders Heres my 6.. Southampton West Ham Middlesborough Leeds Hull Blackpool
I've just got around to checking out today's Championship scores. I'm guessing after 16 games each, not many Leicester fans expected to be 14 points off the top - and certainly not 14 behind us! Good to see Reading stop Birmingham in their tracks (manager of the month curse taking affect already!), but slightly annoying to see Brighton finally win again and take something into the international break and therefore into their game down here.
Plan A: Saints stay top all season (preferred) Plan B: Saints lose top spot temporarily, then take title with late sprint. Second team will be A. N. Other.
I'm not even counting Forest out yet, so I'm certainly not counting you guys out yet (despite what my light-hearted comment above might suggest). Interesting that Pearson looks to be at the top of your list. Not someone that I'd have expected you guys to go for. But hey, he did a good job for you guys first time around.
I think they have the team capable of pushing for a top two spot just lack the manager to really get them there and tho they've done well under cotterel thus far I just don't see him as the man to really get em top 6.. As said, alof of ground to make up..
We had the same problem last season when we started awful Forest lost alot of players in the summer and have changed their manager twice in a short period of time like we did. I think mid table will be as high as they get One thing Southampton have is momentum and Norwich showed it last season and us the year before, once you get on a role who knows how far you can go. Last season there wasnt a stand out team and the year before there was Newcaslte and West Brom who was a cut above This year West Ham are here but dont look brilliant but look like they will be up there, we have had alot of change on the pitch and now a bit off it but there is enough time for us to put a run together and get play offs and maybe challenge for top 2
Well i agree with all about Nottingham forest, poor mismanagement and handling by the chairman of the club has basically left the club constantly picking up the pieces but they are getting there again slowly.. It is true that we have momentum going in to this league but what other teams didn't realise is how good our team actually is, it's one thing to say with all our winning we are capable of achieving what norwich did, but we have had the great players to push on to the prem league and we've bought in the best players to go forward.. NA is very wise. I can see yourself being deffo at least play offs.. but my topic was just aimed at until xmas.. where i think other teams will keep there spots in the top 6.. with maybe 1 dropping out and leeds dropping in it.. but time will tel.. the NPC is a funny and interesting league.. lots to happen!
People knew your team was decent it was just the question can Lambert cut it in this league, he is like Grant Holt last season, towards the back end of his career and has never been at this level before Adam Lallana has looked really good and he impressed me when he came here. He put John Pantsil on his arse for the first goal, And if it wasnt for Kasper he would of scored at least 2
I don't even think adam has been out stand out player of the season.. I think lambert has been excellent.. setting up everyone else and laying people off.. also using his strength!! Guly has beeen excellent... he deff is propelling himself and so far stands out for me.., getting better and better as the season goeson... tho he does get you really frustrated when he becomes abit lazy!
Everytime i have seen you play Lallana has been the main man pulling the strings. I think you may lose him if you dont go up to the prem Do you think he could go as far as Bale, Walcott or Chamberlain
You can't really compare them, in terms of future careers. Those three all have something in common: pace. You give them the ball, and they can run at the defence with it. You put the ball over the top, or between the defence, and they can rut onto it. Lallana doesn't have that pace, he isn't that sort of player. And for me, that's the sole reason why those three have been snapped up for mega-bucks, and Lallana has stayed with us (because right now, in my opinion, Lallana is better than Chamberlain and Walcott).
Injuries have stopped Walcott progressing as everytime he gets a few games he get injured, Bale has progressed no end in the last 2 years as before it was looking like Tottenham was going to get rid of him and Chamberlain is still very young and too early to judge but does look a very decent propect Lallana looks like he is more of a goalscorer then them and has more skill, which Bale and espcially Walcott rely heavily on their pace
