1) James Chester 2) Liam Rosenoir 3) Robert Koren It was a really hard choice between 1st and 2nd. Was thinking about putting Hobbs in but Koren has preformed more than him I think, So would probably put Hobbs 4th
Its very hard to disagree with this Charlie but i also think that Andy Dawson and Paul McKenna are up there. Top 6 players and its sorted.
1. Liam Rosenior 2. Paul McKenna 3. James Chester Im with FT it was difficult to choose a top 3 as i think most of the team are playing well. Andy Dawson is playing some of his best football IMO for tigers.
This is so hard but the first three names that came to mind are Koren, Hobbs and McKenna but if I thought about it more it probably be a different three.
For me... 1. Chester 2. Rosenior 3. Mannone I know it might sound controversial bringing in Mannone after only a few games, but against Doncaster it summed him up, he had one thing to do and did it magically. I think having him behind the defence has brought so much more confidence to the team. Hobbs is very unlucky not to be there, and Rosenior is our most consistent by far.
1) Mckenna 2) Hobbs 3) Chester Tough to leave out Rosenior, Koren and Mannone, but Mckenna and Hobbs have shown great improvement as the season has gone on and both have become integral players for us. Chester had a dip in form around Christmas but other than that has kept to his high standards and he and Hobbs are arguably the best centre back pairing in the league.
Chester, Hobbs, Rosenior, McKenna, Koren, Fryatt and Mannone. Sorry, I couldn't get it down to three.
I knew I'd get pulled up on that one. Because he takes too many touches and has missed some one-on-one's, I think a lot of his skill and hard work gets overlooked, so he makes my list.
I guess that fact it is hard to pick a top three or four is good. It shows we have a strong team in lots of areas. Perhaps a little light on strikers! If it was an easy list then that points to us being dependent on a few players which lays us open to disaster if they get injured.
Under that logic you should have McLean in there, although I suppose there's a certain lack of skill I'm afraid my opinion of Fryatt is dropping with every game. He may be our top scorer but the amount of chances he's spurred.. I think even I may have bagged 10 goals with (probably) a hundred one-on-ones. Ok, "one-on-ones" is probably stretching it a bit, but you get what I mean - very good chances. Anyway, with regards to the OP, I would say Chester, McKenna and Koren, closely edging out Hobbs, Mannone and Rosie.
Nice to see there's a few different candidates for people's top 3 players, reflects on the kind of season we're having that's it not an easy choice to leave some players out.
I agree with those sentiments. It has been a team effort so far. The lack of goals would suggest that the front players have been less effective than the defense and on that basis my 3 are Chester, Hobbs and McKenna. But that would be hard on Rosie, Evans & Koren. The keepers, collectively, have been a strong point: Mannone, Basso and even Gulasci have all had good games.
