Monring Swans, in your return to the top flight I was just curious to know which 3 teams you are looking forward to playing most? Feedback would be much appreciated, Thanks.
Swim i totally agree as i will be claiming my winnings with corals then for my 5000/1 on swansea to win the league. in answer to the thread tho it has to be 1st Man city away, where i think we will get a draw - 1st game in the BPL (who i think will be very very close to champions this year) then wigan at home = 3 points (roberto 1st appearance since leaving) then the last game of the season to Liverpool - you couldnt of written it any better than liverpool to finish our first season back in the BPL only 28 sleeps to go
I cant wait for every game, there are the obvious big names that every smaller club dreams of playing in the league, but I think I'm looking forward to the clubs just outside of the top five like Everton, Sunderland ECT. But if I was to select one game I'm looking forward to it will have to be Swansea City AFC V Tottenham Hotspurs. We still sing about a cup match when we beat them at White Hart Lane....I think they will be the biggest club that we will do the double over this year
I am looking forward to Wigan here for obvious reasons, also Spurs as I was at the game when we beat them at WHL, and the Liverpool game because of the old connection with Tosh, not really interested in Manure too many big headed players and staff there.
If have to go for Man Utd, Chelsea and just shading it Arsenal. The while point of getting promotion is to see if we can compete with these sort of teams because they are the elite. That goes for the likes of Spurs, Man City, Liverpool etc etc. I think I'd rather be watching us home to say Aston Villa than Barnsley but for me the first ones I mentioned get my vote
I like the idea of Spurs away... nice surface, good footballing team, but not defensively sound so we might be able to get at them. Manchester United at home has to be there, because they're one of the biggest clubs in the world. Realistically, I think them, Barca and Real are the "Big Three" in world club football, and to have one of those visiting Swansea is incredible. Who else? Hmm... maybe Stoke away? Hear me out... it's as good an examination of how solid we are as an all-round defensive unit as we're going to get. If we can get something from that game, it might be a good indication of how we'll fare in general.
Only game I'm looking forward to is the game in which we secure our Premier League status for 2012/13 - and the sooner that happens the better!! Hopefully, we will be safe before the last 2 games against Man U & Liverpool.
Over the years I've always supported the Swans at home games but have in the past taken my sons to watch prem games when we played away. Would sometimes go and watch Klinsman and co at White Hart Lane with one son and Zola (my all time favourite) with the other at Stamford Bridge. Of course in recent seasons it has been Swans only both home and away so for me to visit Spurs and Chelsea away will be quite surreal in the coming season. The other game I'm looking forward to is at the Emirates as I want to see us pit our wits against a team noted for having a similar style to us.
Looking forward to every match all the same, I only go to watch the Swans. I am however looking forward to going to both Stoke & Tottenham away, hopefully. Both grounds have a great atmosphere, probably the best in the Premier League.
will be watching every Swans match on Fox this season so i want your niks on ur scarfs so i can see who goes to away games
Swans away allocations vary but will be around the 2,000 - 3,000 mark I should imagine. The Club has been swamped with applications for 500 of its away season tickets - at a total of £900 a go I'm surprised as times are hard. Rest assured away support will be superb this season, as it was last. As for the games I'm going to enjoy the whole ride, but Wigan at home is mouthwatering. Whereas I really hope we stay up (I actually think we're more than capable of mid table) we could do a lot worse than emulate Blackpool. If we don't stay up then let's hold our heads up and say we gave it a bloody good go, caused a few shock results and played the right way.
