I haven't posted any of juniors handy-work for a while, but I thought a list that included Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona and Ian Ashbee was too good an opportunity to miss... http://www.thesportster.com/soccer/top-15-soccer-feats-that-will-never-be-repeated/
Good to see Ian Ashbee on the list. Not so good to see a total lack of acknowledgement to this amazing, never to be repeated feat anywhere in or around the KC Stadium.
Good read that. Your lads got a talent for writing that's for sure. I like the bit about the free scoring goalkeeper.
Good article but could have done with proof reading it first. Taken from 15.James Hayter "While playing in a Second Division game for Bournemouth against Wrexham, Hayter came on as an 84th-minute, but put the Wrexham defence to the sword, scoring an incredible hat-trick in less than 140 seconds. " Could do with putting the word substitute after 84th-minute
didn't like to mention it because wasn't sure if it was one of those things when things came up according to your past searches..
It's a great achievement, but he isn't unique in that respect. Brett Ormerod did it for Blackpool. The captaincy in all 4 divisions is unique. Gary Monk came close, but he was only appointed captain at Swansea after their promotion from League 2 to League 1.
So did Andy Dawson ...........overlooked. Ryan France and Boaz Myhill played in all four divisions for Hull City. (as did Andy Dawson)
I like the Maradona entry: "A controversial entry no doubt, as some will argue that Diego Maradona did not win the World Cup for Argentina single-handedly in 1986." Yes he did, as the illustration shows.
Other than Ashbee / France / Myhill / Dawson, what Hull City records do we think will never be beaten? I'll start you off with the following Chilton's scoring record Deano's age at scoring in the top flight (or any level?) Andy Davidson's appearance record Our biggest ever victory (11-1) Simon Dakin's mantle for most stupid career ending injury
