We are all hoping for at least a comfortable top 10 finish anywhere below 10th is a failure this season. I know the transfer window is open untill August and from the way clubs are talking money is tight. So out of all the dealings so far whitch clubs are going to challenge us for that 7th spot i have the top 6 as Man U Chelsea Man C Arsenal Liverpool Spurs I reckon the others could well be Everton Stoke Bent Villa and our selves i am impressed with the dealing Stoke are trying to pull off and should they get Barton Palacious and Crouch they could be a surprise If however we do get Kranjcar (please god) and another Forward i will be well chuffed
I have a feeling Stoke could really struggle this year, as it happens. I can't see them getting any of those 3, and i think their central midfield is turd. They won't go down, but i reckon they'll be looking over their shoulders all season. Fulham are a threat, but the Europa may do for their challenge.
Not too sure about West Brom, they were good towards the end of last season under wot, but are they that good?
I like Brunt & Morrison, Odenwingie is a good goalscorer, Gera is a quality (re)addition. They'll do canny i think.
Everton will struggle this season, they haven't signed any players have no money, they have lost Coleman for 6 months. Saha cant stay fit and Beckford is pants, they have no other strikers. Cahill is getting on abit and injuries are catching up with him. They have a decent CB pairing an thats about it, I can see Moyes walking at some point this season
Howard, Fellaini & Baines are top drawer though mate. Jagielka is immense, Phil Neville still has a great influence. Arteta is gonna be fit again, and Russian Bil (i ain't even attempting spelling!), is a very capable, if inconsistent player too. They need to avoid injuries though, they have minimal back up.
Some think this, i don't. Everton are just flippin Everton, keep plugging away season after season, top manager too. Hope we can actually do something this season when we play at their place.
Everton will finish comfortably in the top half. They are notorious slow starters but are always strong in the secind half of the season. ....................Howard................ Neville...Heitinga....Jagielka....Baines Arteta....Felliani...Rodwell...Bildaloftyanonce ...................Cahill.................................... ...............................Saha.......................... Only top 6 is better than that.
7th is VERY optimistic, We will do well to get 9th/10th this season as we still have not replaced Bent and Gyan is out for a month in January.
ACN Dates January 21 – February 12 our games Jan Sat 14 15:00 A Chelsea (Gyan may play in this) Sat 21 15:00 H Swansea City Tue 31 19:45 H Norwich City Feb Sat 4 15:00 A Stoke City Sat 11 15:00 H Arsenal (He may be back for this if they dont get to the later stages) then our next game is Sat 25 Feb 15:00 A West Bromwich Albion Yes its a shame he wont play in those games, but in all honesty, I really dont think we will miss him as much as some expect. PS: there will hopefully be cup games in there as well, but for the league i meant.
That'll be the time for either Wickham or Ji to give Bruce some tough decisions.... Hope either or both take their chance, maybe Campbell will make a return around then to.
Not heard any date on Campbell coming back but if we don't sign anyone and we have another injury we may well need him.
