Toon Harmy! It looks as if another Local Hero is having a benefit game, but unlike Harps it seems as if Harmy is in need of the cash. I wouldn't mind going along to the game but it could be a bit awkward getting back on the local bus services after the game. ________________________________________________________________________ As part of his benefit year, Durham and England fast bowler Steve Harmison is to lead a Northern League XI against a Newcastle United XI in a football match staged in his hometown of Ashington. Venue is the Woodhorn Lane ground of Ashington AFC on Thursday, October 10th and kick off is at 7pm. Tickets are £6 for adults and £1.50 for juniors and are on sale from Woodhorn Lane, Ashington Town Council. They can also be reserved for collection on matchday by emailing [email protected] Toon fan Steve has been limbering up for the game by getting in some match practice and last weekend saw him turn out for a Bradford City old boys side at Valley Parade.
