Como vs Milan and Barcelona vs Villareal being held in Perth and Miami... what are peoples thoughts on this?

Shows the desperation around these league that they feel the only way is to go is abroad to generate income but let's be honest - and skip the fact I don't believe games should be played outside of the teams respective stadiums for their fans sake - Perth and Miami are not exactly the "hotbeds" of football I'd have expected these teams to go to to try and generate interest. Surely the footballing mad continents of Africa/Middle East and South America would have been better to try and gain some interest, hell even Asia they get excited for stuff like this. Can't imagine many Floridians let alone American's will be overly fussed at Barcelona vs Villareal and even when we played Spurs in Australia it felt flat and lethargic - ok it was only a friendly but at least we had Kuol and Spurs had Postecoglu to try and draw some locals in with their countrymen being involved.

Don't think it would happen here but let them try and see what the fan response is...
My thoughts are that it's just a ****y financial move by the bigger teams. Just shows that they couldn't give two flying ****s about their regular fans.

Don't think it will work as Scotland has its own league with big Clubs like Brechin and Forfar. Can't see Barcelona making any inroads with that sort of competition.

All part of the Superleague plan - there's plenty of money in the likes of Miami, less so in Africa.

Get the Yanks etc invested in Barca etc and you are well on your way - they prefer success over any sort of local team loyalty

Germany all over the place

It's that coach, they don't want to play for him. He had the same issue at Munich, they sacked him cos they just didn't like him as a person.

He's now in the media slagging off the German players so early into a campaign. It doesn't incite much loyalty does it.
