Think we will be ok. With fitness improving the likes of Longstaff and Almiron don’t even make the matchday 20. I’m hoping both are sold. Maybe Trippier too if Ashby is any good.

I have this feeling deep down inside that Sean Longstaff will still be starting by Christmas

Then Howe will get himself sacked. It’s a win win, the best XI is obvious, our subs too, we just need better people than Graeme Jones in the back room which we now have.

They got whipped.

The manager doesn't appear to understand they're trying to win fans. He's so far up Longstaff and Burns arses that it's ultimately going to cost him his job this season I think.

I noticed he's favourite to be sacked first... if they start bad that could be right and with krafth Burn Longstaff and Murphy playing in the 11 they could lose vs Southampton and Bournemouth.
He needs reinforcements but the Longstaff Burn thing needs to stop when the season starts.

And?

It’s a warm up game. Nice to win but not the main aim of the game.

No need to panic. <laugh>

Obviously this.

There's simply no correlation between how pre-season goes and how the season goes. You want to get your players fit, to bond as a team and hopefully avoid injuries. On the training ground and behind the scenes you work on tactics and then try a few things out - systems, certain players in certain positions. If they fail and you lose or play badly then you learn from it and are simply glad it happened in pre-season than in a game that matters.

Most importantly. The players aren't giving it 100% in the games, risking injury and running themselves into the ground. The best players aren't all playing for all the games. If we wanted to just win these games we would. This isn't complicated and I'm surprised that anyone doesn't get that.

Man Utd aren't going to care that they lost to Rosenberg and then Arsenal. They are going to care that they got a couple of players injured in the process.
