Milan and getting into the EL was the failure for me. We were 1-0 up, ffs. Then just awful game management and individual stupidity and we're 2-1 down and out. I mean, Almiron missing from 2 yards because he's frightened of his own right foot was embarrassing.

The fact is without that penalty PSG went out regardless of our last result and even with our last result we wouldn’t have been last. Fact

We made the mistake of pushing for CL instead of settling for EL. Hard to complain about that, we did create chances. Dortmund were excellent and PSG “should’ve” beaten us but didn’t. They should have been out.

Why should they have been out ? They got the required points over 6 games to qualify?
You think that was the only debatable decision? There's loads in every game we played in and the other games in the group we weren't in..

It's not a fact.. I could go back an change other decisions and guess what the future wouldn't be the same it would be different. The fact is what actually happened.
That doesn't matter Newcastle still came last over 6 games. There's decisions in very game Newcastle didn't do enough that's why they went out.

That's not what happened that's the point.... this is why your ifs buts and maybes are irrelevant. There was 6 games and numerous decisions that impacted them in our games and the other games in the group.
The variables and outcomes are almost infinite.
