spurs got there backsides spanked at liverpool today, the topic afterwards was the amount of new players spurs introduced into there team . wenger has stated that the most you can introduce at once is 3,if thats the case we are knackered.we are going to need about 6 or more judging by the amount of players rumoured to be leaving and loanees going back

Tottenham are making excuses because they sacked Villas-Boas far too soon. He was sacked because he lost a match 5-0. Sherwood has just been spanked AGAIN 4-0, yet Daniel Levy isn't looking to sack that gob-****e is he?

I don't think it matters how many players you bring into a squad, I think it matters what their personalities are like.

Spurs bought all those players with the Gareth Bale cash, but never gave the manager time to mould his squad.

Premature sackings are ruining football. Cardiff, West Brom, Swansea and Tottenham have wrongly sacked their managers in my opinion.

I quite fancy letting Steve Clarke have a pop at managing Newcastle United - he couldn't do any worse than the last two 'performances' and i'm not even going to mention the derbies <grr>

I think it depends on how long the team has to gel.
Bale was sold a little late so players had limited time preseason.
Hopefully we will get our business done early doors.

Exactly. Why concern yourself about six new players gelling when we won't be getting six new players anyway.

It is an obvious worry. However Spurs problem was similar to the one we had with Cabaye, but even more akin to the one Man U had when Ronaldo left. They finished 2nd and were close to the title, but their general play lost rhythm. Spurs whole game plan centred around Bale. They basicallly operated a system which was all centred around getting him the ball in certain areas then relying on him to do the rest. He did. They took him out and it is taking time to develop a new pattern of play. They should have been more patient with Villas Boas. Though I'm not convinced he is going to be a great manager, they did choose him and should have stuck with him. It'll be interesting to see how Van Gaal does there next year.

We had a lesser problem with Cabaye, because he was replaceable unlike a Bale or Ronaldo. I don't think there will be as much activity as some expect this summer. There should be looking from the outside but I reckon it could be minimal. Maybe just a replacement for Cabaye and not much else happening. The only wa I could see otherwise is if Colo, Debuchy and Tiote go. We will be in the **** if those three leave.

Rumours are rife that Sherwood has punched either Rose or Dawson and has been sacked! Things seemed to have imploded there in a way usually only reserved for ourselves or Sunderland.

Looks like its Dawson judging by this pic:
