BBC reporting that Pulis is on the verge of resigning. Good news for us as it throws a rival club into a nightmare scenario. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28797071
I feared for them this season even before this news. Unless I just haven't noticed they don't appear to have been that busy in the market.
Same here - maybe nobody will snap him up until a few games in....... he could be an option for us. At least he's qualified.
Just seen on SSN. This is good news for everyone that will be involved in the battle for survival. I must say, well done to Pulis for sticking to his guns. Owners/chairmen shouldn't interfere with transfer targets. I expect Pulis to be with a PL club by Christmas at the latest. Cheeky bid for Jonny Williams maybe
After their disastrous start to last season I would have thought they would have understood how important a good manager was. While Pulis may have wanted more control, I think his record shows he would have been acting in the best interests of Crystal Palace. Their loss.
Tony Pulis left Crystal Palace because Steve Parish wouldn't support bids for Michu, Steven Caulker and Gylfi Sigurdsson - Tony Pulis has left Crystal Palace after a break down in his relationship with owner Steve Parish - Former Stoke boss saved Eagles from relegation to finish 11th last season - Pulis wanted to sign the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Michu and Steven Caulker - Fraizer Campbell and Martin Kelly have been the only significant arrivals - Dave Kemp will take charge of Premier League opener against Arsenal By Neil Ashton Published: 23:11, 14 August 2014 | Updated: 23:13, 14 August 2014 When Tony Pulis and Steve Parish toasted Crystal Palace’s momentous comeback against Liverpool in the manager’s office last season, they appeared to be a formidable partnership. Pulis had rescued Palace, taking over when they had only four points and steered them to an incredible 11th-place finish. That night, after they had kept Palace in the Premier League, they spoke about their dreams for the future. On Thursday night, after six hours of talks in a central London office, the pair accepted their relationship is unworkable. It is incredible that it has come to this, less than 48 hours before their opening Barclays Premier League game of the season at Arsenal. Dave Kemp, Pulis’s assistant, will take charge for the Arsenal game, but will leave after the match. Coach Keith Millen, inherited from the previous management team, will stay on with Malky Mackay wanted to take over.
Interesting to see that Malky is seen as a suitable replacement considering they brought Pullis in to negate Ian Holloways inept coaching ,2 paces forward 1 back . We're missed a trick with Martin Kelly imo ,English capped player who's had plenty of PL experience and could have been a ideal replacement for Rangel .
Football never fails to surprise! And this is before the season's even started... stay tuned for more fun and games.
Apparently Steve Parish said to Pulis! "It's Crystal palace not Crystal pulis!" well I think he's ****ed his chances of surviving with one hot headed statement!
