Nice to hear him talking positively about the club .... in fact it was nice to hear someone from the club talking full stop! It would appear that he understands the importance of communicating with the fans and keeping them onside. Very good press conference although no one would be drawn on Palladini's future?
shame that sky didnt press them further - it would be good to start afresh i think. Maybe he will get a job in the superstore!!
And what was that about ticket prices being looked into...A 20% rebate on my season ticket will suffice...
I have to say lads i'm sitting here glued to my computer in Petra and there are tears of joy coming down my cheeks. There are a huge amount of questions to be asked and answered, but for now i am a happy camper. Fernandez for me hit all the right notes. He talked about passion, committment, youth development and us the fans. To see Amit back is just class. He will bring honesty and integrity back to our club. All i want to see now is a couple of decent Prem class players brought in to give us a fighting chance. For us the fans to know that FINALLY we have owners who give a sh**e is amazing. We know they will hurt with us and celebrate with us throughout the season. I'm in tears and delighted
Even more impressed with the follow up interview on sky - he knew the names of our players and the name of someone who scored against us! He said that he wanted feed back from people on anything and when asked about the badge he said that nothing is sacrosanct ... apart from the hoops!!
Whoooohooo!!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Just heard the news and am really chuffed to bits!! COYRs!!!!!
Its a good day for all of us and to hear that Paladini is gone will be the icing, now that the clouds have lifted over Loftus road lets look to Saturday with more optimism, after all we are QPR
Paladini never struck me as malicious, just very, very stupidly naiive. He appears to have an inflated opinion of his own importance and abilities. The trouble started whenever he tried (with I'm sure the best of intentions) to do anything.
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/18082011/63/fernandes-sees-potential-qpr.html Touches on the possibility of ground devlopment or even a move away from Loftus Road here. Long way off though.
I'm very impressed with Fernandes so far. Ticked all the right boxes imo. One word of caution though.....I don't think we should get our hopes up too high re which players arrive over the next week or so. NW's choices are a bit limited at this late stage and we'll need to trust him to get in the best that he can!!
Yes, if there is one big casualty of the board room shenanigans it is the possibility of a new ground any time soon. This always seemed to be part of the master plan until recently but with new owners in play the whole thing will be reconsidered from scratch I guess. That may well mean the possibility of using the BBC site will pass us by (assuming that was ever possible). It really would be too much to bear if Chelsea now sneak into the gap and build there!
