Tony Fernandes is frustrated like everyone else at QPR â Mark Hughes QPR manager Mark Hughes reveals Hoops owner Tony Fernandes is frustrated by recent results like everyone else at the club ShareCommentsBy Kieran Beckles 5:24pm UK, Friday 2 November 2012 Mark Hughes' side are without a win in the Premier LeaguePhoto: The Sport Review Mark Hughes has revealed that Queens Park Rangers owner Tony Fernandes has been frustrated by their start to the Premier League campaign but insists he remains âupbeat and in great spiritsâ. The Hoops are still searching for their first victory of the season after suffering a 1-0 defeat by Arsenal at The Emirates last weekend, despite holding on for 83 minutes before Mikel Arteta netted a winner. The loss heaped further pressure on Hughes, with reports linking Harry Redknapp to the Loftus Road position â but the Welshman insisted Fernandes remains very supportive in spite of the clubâs disappointing results. âHeâs very upbeat and in great spirits,â said Hughes. âHeâs like the rest of us, the overriding emotion is frustration, but we all feel that weâre very, very close to gaining maximum points and moving up the table. âWe havenât discussed it [my future]. Heâs a great guy to work for â heâs very enthusiastic and supportive. âHeâs been a great help because itâs important to understand the support everyone gets at the club from Tony. âThereâs a business plan and we wants the best for QPR. He knows heâs got people working exceptionally hard to make that happen for him.â Hughes also revealed that Fernandes was warned at the start of the campaign that QPR might struggle early on as the new players gelled amid a tough run of fixtures against Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham. âHeâs of the same mind as everyone else connected with the club, in terms of what weâre trying to do and where we want to take QPR,â added Hughes. âHe knows exactly what the pathway is and weâre all pushing to take this club to the next level. âAlong the way, we need to win Premier League games and we havenât been able to do that. âWe obviously knew there was potentially a situation which could develop, given the new arrivals and injuries. âOn occasions, we havenât been able to keep a settled back-four which is the case this weekend.â QPR face fellow strugglers Reading in a must-win game for both sides at Loftus Road on Sunday.
Yes, well, having a positive attitude and speaking positively and all that ****e is just some psycho-babble they've all been trained to use in hopes to muster up the troops - business training tactics used by many from all them seminars they've taken. It also makes them blind. Familiarity breeds contempt, eventually.
