    sorry if already posted

A FOOTBALL pundit sparked outrage by describing a player as having “a holocaust”.

Tony Cascarino, 48, made the comments on Sky Sports News during Manchester United’s 8-2 defeat of Arsenal
    yesterday.

Talking about defender Armand Traore, 21, he said:

“Poor Traore at right-back is having a holocaust.”
Furious fans hit out at the comments on Twitter, one writing: “Tony
    Cascarino should be sacked.”

Another wrote: “I hope he is dealt with appropriately.”

A Sky Sports News spokesman said: “Tony made his comments in the heat of the moment. An immediate
    apology was made on air.”

Destruction or slaughter on a mass scale.

That is the definition of holocaust...

If he said it was a Jewish Holocaust then there would be a problem but this is a nothing story

The thing is though that the media are always going to jump on these things so pundits should know to word things in a different way or at least think before they speak.

It's like when Alan Pardew said Michael Essien had "raped" Ched Evans.

Taken completely out of context. <doh>

He shouldn't have said but it's a massive overreaction. Non-story in my opinion.

No one is saying its been taken out of context. Just immediately assuming he was referring to something they have no idea whether he was or not

    Eh?

To be honest, every club has over-sensitive fans.
