The Chilcot inquiry has started delivering its findings. In personal memos sent between Blair and Bush, they were openly discussing that the main objective was to topple Saddam Hussein and enforce regime change. There was never any evidence for 'Weapons of mass destruction' and Blair tried to make an erroneous case to link 9/11 with the regime in Iraq, to try and garner public support and accuse Hussein for being responsible, despite knowing there wasn't one shred of evidence.

The recriminations from this report have only just begun

What a waste of 10 million quid.

Everyone with half a brain knew that the 2nd Iraq war was nothing to do with WMD and everything to do with oil and Bush Jnr finishing off Daddies biggest regret i.e. not marching on Baghdad in the first Gulf War.

Blair stood along side him like a school boy with a man crush. Only he knows why he allowed himself to lie to the Nation and drag us into a War that should have never happened. Look at the state of it now, a war torn mess of a Nation that'll face decades of internal strife.

What's worse is that he planted the seed in the ignorant minds of people like Custard that just because Saddam was an arab it meant same as being Osama bin laden despite the fact politically they couldn't have been further apart!

The idea that Saddam or his baathist party would have any links to a 9/11 plot by al-qaeeda was mindbogglingly dumb to anyone who knew the situation. But hey they all look the same so it must be true.

Blair is a lying, treacherous fundamentalist who is no different in his motives and actions to any other religious extremist.

There was a story going around at the weekend that Corbyn was hanging on for the Chilcott report. The same rumour claimed that he then planned to denounce Blair as a war criminal in the commons.

Which, of course, he can do without the risk of being sued...

Rob Newman brought this up a few year back on his 'History of Oil' show, and drew comparisons with the Nuremberg Trials where they were charged with 'Planning and waging an aggressive war' and said Bush and Blair should be hauled up on the same charges.

No western leader will ever be prosecuted for war crimes. Ever.

Blair could basically nuke the **** out of any country from the Turkish border all the way to Japan, kill millions with the press of a button on the basis that they posed a national threat... and we'd all be like "oh dear how terrible" a few million will march across London and Paris. Then a few months later it'll all blow over. And the thing is, our leaders know this full well.

Just watching the news and what's sometimes forgotten are the servicemen and women who died (179) and the hundreds of others who were wounded. Before someone says that's the job they signed up for, no it bloody well wasn't. They joined the armed forces to defend their country and protect us, not go on some gung ho war half way across the world, ill-prepared, on the whim of a couple of egomaaniacs. AND where their destiny wasn't even being decided by the leader of their own country.

I am very proud to have been 1 of the millions that opposed that war and to have campaigned against it with my union.
We were accused of being nazi sympathisers and of wanting British soldiers to die and of supporting terrorism.
The truth has been known from day one. It was wrong and should never have happened.
None of us against the war wanted anyone to die, we did not support Saddam H and did not and do not support terrorism.

My major criticism of the messes we get involved in is that we seem to arm ****ing lunatics when they are pissing off our enemies and then when they piss us off sacrifice lives to stop them.

We helped arm the Argentinian Junta is the 1970s and ended up in a war against them.
We armed Bin Laden when he fought for the Talaban against Russia and ended up in a war against them.
We armed Iraq when they were fighting Iran and ...

I am glad for the families of the 179 who died that the UK Government and Blair has been criticised. I hope it helps them

Blair's a supercilious ****, we've known that for years. I once had and took the opportunity to take the piss out of him. His legacy was incredibly important to him and it's now ****ed. The PM who oversaw Cool Britannia? **** off, the PM who was a war criminal and helped create IS. Blood on your hands Tony.

Somebody gassed thousands of Kurds. It could have been Iraq or it could have been Turkey or even Russia. Bush and Blair decided it was Iraq because they wanted to enact regime change there, and decided to go ahead without seeking the truth. They did not invade to protect the Kurds because they didn't give a ****about them. They were wrong and they should both be held to account

7 years & millions of pounds on an inquiry revealed Blair deceived the country. I could've told you that for free years ago.
