With Stephane Sessegnon and Ji Dong-won both absent from the tournament, Martin OâNeill handed Campbell and Wickham the chance to make an early impression during the pre-season campaign. Elsewhere, David Meyler was included in the starting line-up while new signing Carlos Cuellar was left on the bench for clash with Korean outfit Seongnam. Sunderland: Mignolet, Brown, Bramble, Turner, Colback, Meyler, Cattermole, Gardner, Richardson, Campbell, Wickham. Subs: Wilson, Pickford, Egan, Adams, Cuellar, Laing, Knott, Vaughan, Reed, Deacon, Noble, Lynch.
Is it on any TV channel? Vaughan on the bench out of the midfield lads, could he be leaving this summer?
I managed to find a link for some of the game and they were running rings round us for what I saw but they are twenty games into their season so it is to be expected. Wickham put in a fine performance though and I liked the look of Meyler in midfield. The rest were either average or poor. Early days yet.
