Just got home from tonights game, and although we won 3-1 theys still a few bad points i need to let out that I kept quiet last season that i feel needs adressing!

Elmo is and was very poor on the right wing and also isnt strong enough in the tackle to play RB. Richardson was pi$$ poor at LB and if Bruce thinks he's the solution we are in trouble!

Larson played on the Left and looked uncomftable, so I hope Bruce isnt thinking he can save us a few bob by playing him in our problem position!

On the plus side Catts looked class, Colback proved he deserves a run this season and Sess will be chased by the top teams in Europe next season!

Richardson should be at left midfield FFS. He'll never be a proper FB if you ask me. And Larsson on the left?

I hope we're not in for another tactical masterclass from SB this season <doh>

No problem over his transfer dealings but I hope he'd learnt a few lessons about tactics and team selection from last season.

Still it's only pre season so lets hope he's just experimenting and not actually contemplating playing the lads in those positions.

AND FOR **** SAKE QUINNY, TELL BRUCE, RICHARDSON IS NOT AND NEVER WILL BE A LEFT BACK.

I feel sorry for Ricco, he has shown in the years with SAFC that his best position is playing off the main striker or wide on the left ................ so how do you all think he feels being asked to play left back again. It didn't work last year and Bardsley took the role and did well. Richardson played some of his best games for the club when moved back into his preferred positions and scored goals. So what the **** is Bruce playing him at left back for. For me, get Onuoha back to play right back, move Bardo to left and give Ricco a chance to establish himself in his preferred positions.

It's strange opinions seem to differ on Richardsons performance, this was posted on the other thread by someone at the game:
I am sure Bruce knows what he is doing, with Steed going I am sure we will be signing a LW soon

He was in the paper last season saying he wants to break into the England squad as a Left back, so I wouldnt feel sorry for him!

Poor baby being payed tens of thousands per week and he doesn't want to be a defender, he wants to be a forward................... My cold heart bleeds for him

time for Richardson to grow up me thinks. Play where your told or **** off (shouldn't be any where near the first team, not good enough or consistant enough). Dunno about you but if I spat the dummy at work when I didn't want to do something I'd get sacked pretty quickly.

Couldn't break into the England squad as anything if he had a stick of dynamite and a safe cracker. Didn't go last night but, had a report from our boy who says that it was a decent win nothing too spectacular. Also said Richardson was very poor (and he rates him) been saying this since he came to us he is not and never will be a LB.

Ricco's turn to be scape goat this season when he plays? The aggression towards him, an SAFC player, from these comments is a joke. If you dont like him, thats fair enough but no need to be an arse towards him about it. not like he is a bad as halford was.....

Besides he has never had a decent run in any position in order to make it his own.

But when has he spat the dummy? He's played wherever he's been asked to, not always well but I can't remember him complaining.

He's not good enough to make any position his own, so why should he get a run at it?

You can see in his body language, when ever he's played at left back he doesn't want to be there, if your wife/lass/boyfriend asked you to do something and you don't want to do it, can you honestly say you'd do it the absolute best of your ability? (not saying he doesn't try but you must see my point)
