We are hardly the ones to be patronising about,fans, leaving early, are we? They left in droves when we were beating Liverpool for the first time in our history and numerous other games when we were drawing or one goal behind any the team needed encouragement or left early instead of staying to show their appreciation of a good performance against one of the big clubs. Better this season admittedly. Maybe Newcastle fans have problems with the car park, they want to void the traffic vthey have to travel huge distances like from the KC to Hessle, it is a working or school Dy the next day like we have heard so many times to justify fans leaving early?
I have seen worse over the last 50+ years I have been going to football. It seems to have got worse at Sunderland over the last few seasons. In fact it seems to be a relatively recent thing, leaving in droves way before the end.
It really was. Fair play to the Scotch, they threw everything they had at it, and despite them being a bunch of cockwombles usually, their fans were quite impressive too.
