just thought that I would pass on that I just had to call the ticket office to get 2 tickets for some friends that have decided to go to the game tonight last minute . The ticket office advised me there are only 300 tickets left in the whole stadium !!! I know that not all season ticket holders etc turn up but its looking like another great attendance tonight COME ON YOU REDS !!!!
Good for the old treasure chest and great support for the team. Nicola must be very pleased with the support being shown at the moment. Our attendance figures look very good at the moment even compared to several PL teams and I would not like to think what the demand will be like should we be promoted. I have already uppped the amount I save each month ready for a PL season ticket next season.
I know can you imagine !!! im saving for it too , great effort at the moment by the fans lets just hope that we can keep the attendances up and give the team our full support for a push for the premier league
On Boxing Day, we had over 10,000 more fans than Birmingham v West Ham. I know it was on TV but i still reckon we'd have managed a gate better than that.
No problem just thought I would let people know so they didnt get dissapointed queing at the stadium !
Got my ticket a week or so ago but I am suprised there's going to over 30,000 going as its an evening game and the weather is going to be sh*t.
Southampton's biggest attendance of all time was a weekday evening game against West Ham in October 2011.
Yes but that was 1st v 2nd, with West Ham coming down from the PL. No disrespect to Bristol City but West Ham are much bigger team.
We are also further into the season and still top. Games from now to the end of the season will see higher gates as fairweather fans see Saints get closer to the Premier League. Plus we are still in the festive period with lots of people back in the area and wanting to see a game.
For many people (not me sadly) this is a week off, so this game falls within the Christmas period. All part of the fun and doesn't interfere with New Year celebrations. Also everyone wants to be involved now Saints are on the downhill slope to the end of the season.
Got my tickets, cheers for this thread mate, would of missed out was it not for you. Sat in Itchen North, can honestly say I've never been there before! BUzzing now !
I like to think so. If tonights game is a sell out that would then be 4 games out of 13 sold out whilst a 2nd tier side. Imagine how many more could be sold for games against Premier League sides...
Lets just take a moment to laugh at those Leeds fans at the beginning of the season who were claiming they would be our biggest gate of the season by far...
Bristol City have only sold 1,500 tickets. I can't imagine that more than 500 will pay on the gate, so they may well free up some space in the Northam in block 43.
