    Heard a few rumours now (twitter) that there will be an important announcement from the club tomorrow, but nothing on what it will be about. Obviously this is wrong, unless Wendy thinks its Friday tomorrow. Wonder what it will be about though, if true... any ideas?

    I doubt there will be an announcement. I don't know where this rumour has stemmed from but I think if there was going to be some big news then there would be some talk about it in the papers. Not much gets past those journos.

    Yeah the guy was saying the same thing, something big and the media would have picked up on it. Maybe Barton's contract?

    Maybe its an announcement to tell us that the weekly announcement will be on thursdays in future instead of on a friday.

    Probably a bunch of bullshit to be honest. According to NUFCfans on twitter, they heard it from someone who heard it from someone else.

    Anyway, if there was a big press conference then the press would know about it.

    Could just be a continuation of that takeover 'rumour' that someone mentioned on here, they said it'd be announced on Thursday, could have perpetuated and got out of hand.

    I heard a rumour about Newcastle being close to getting took over a few years back, everyone took it with a pinch of salt and within 10 days Mike Ashley announced he was planning to take the club over.
