I've gone through the elation of good performances in Europe recently and, without being pessimistic, I'm girding my hind quarters for tomorrow. There's every chance we'll beat them with a set piece and some mental defending. There's every chance of a repeat of the Juve 4-3 game. There's every chance a Barca player will be sent off and a pen given first half but... ...there's a greater chance that we'll lose a man in a daft last ditch challenge early doors. Tomorrow is the classic "anything's a bonus" game. They're much better than us - no-one is going to doubt that but this Celtic team can play WAaaaaaayyyy better than they did in the Nou Camp IMO - we can keep possesion better than we did in the first half and Barca seem like the latest team to be flummoxed by Big Sammy any time he runs at them. Hoping for the best, prepared for the worst. I will only take satisfaction from tomorrow if we, at the very least, give them a bloody nose. It's exciting, though. This is what football is all about - I've been looking forward to this game ever since the draw and this is the type of game we were dreaming of when we were qualifying. There's no real point to this OP and there's no big question or poll. My bumhole will be doing somersaults tomorrow. Straight from work to the pub, then to the ground to see the world's coolest team take on the world's most skilful team. I. Cannot. Fucking. Wait.
Looking forward to it, nothing to lose as far as i'm concerned but a Draw would be a huge bonus and a win...well that would be just super. Whatever happens, whatever the result, we can be absolutely sure of one thing, that some of the hordes from the dark side will be posting threads telling us we played Anti Football again. And they are not obsessed.
Aye white stockings are a must if we are going to get a result. Of course our players will want to concentrate from first to last. Anything can go right anything can go wrong but the one thing all the players have to do is their best, and then do a little better. Win lose or draw, we could be in a worse place, instead of challenging for knock-out stages of Champions League we could still be awaiting permanent and unconditional membership of Senior Scottish Football. As far as I know no club other than Sevco have been allowed to [lay in the Scottish League, even fourth tier, without full membership. How long is this going to last for ?
Said it fae the start I was determined to enjoy it. I enjoyed the game over there. In spite of what happened. All of these experiences will stand to us. Anything can happen....
