Just seen on the official site That Tommy Forecast has signed a new 3 year deal as the replacement for Bart. Forecast said I have always believed in myself and this will give me the opportunity to show what I can do. Nigel Adkins said Tommy has been waiting a long time for this opportunity and has got on with it without complaining and I am pleased to be able to give the lad his chance. As a former Goalkeeper myself I know how hard it is fighting for one position and I believe the lad will grab his chance with both hands and fight Kelvin all the way and keep him on his toes.

He obviously has something about him that impresses to give him a contract extension over Bart. Guess we will have to wait and see. Nigel is the best person to make this decision so:

"We've got Tommy Tommy Tommy Tommy Forecast on the bench on the bench" To the tune of Tommy Jenkins on the wing!

Me too. No way is the keeper labelled by Grimsby fans as "the worst we've ever seen" going to be a Premier League backup.

Nicely done. You worded it with all the deadpan cliche and column speak that made it believeable.

It's 19th of May not 1/4/12! All those that knock poor (yes poor) old Tommy probably do not appreciate the work he puts in with KD and Bart, he works as hard as anyone to help them do their business, despite knowing that he won't be picked ahead them, OK he is not a great GK, but he is a Saint and still gets my respect.

Of course. But when his contract runs out, at the end of next season, he won't be retained. Only in my opinion. ;)

Did Pulis get the same respect? He was never late, he tried hard.
Both players that are not good enough, given contracts they didn't earn or deserve. If either were any good they would leave/or have left before being pushed. Its sad, given the chance to play & not taking it.

He's sitting out his contract. Probably useful in training to give confidence to the strikers...makes them feel invincible!

I expect Forecast to be the first name on next years released list. In addition to given the strikers (including the academy guys) confidence, we do need someone to pick the ball out of the net during training.

I think they should pay off his contract and let him go. Its pointless having him around.

Having seen him play last year, his confidence is so low it was almost pitiful watching him. Dovey was a decent prospect but he's gone and now Bart too. So we need a good no 2 to go with the decent scholar we have coming through (who's name escapes me, sorry).

I think we should go for a Chelsea style defence, the goalkeeper just making up the numbers!
