What’s going on with Tommy Conway lately? Over the congested schedule over the last 6 weeks, I’ve managed to find streams to watch games from Canada and currently California. I’m getting distinctive Berbatov/Ozil vibes from watching his off-ball play. Walking around, not closing down, not matching the urgency of everyone else on the counter, pointing at his feet. Is he p!$$ed off or something? Did he want a move in the window? He’s a talent, but he’s nowhere near Berbatov/Ozil quality, not even remotely. So I hope LM watches games back and analyzes his play. Because it’s starting to look poor. You can play like that when you’re banging them every game. But he’s not.
Tbf I haven't noticed TC not being interested. It's soul destroying being the first to press and very often just chasing shadows. Of all the players Manning should scrutinise it's Mehmeti. What he brings is a mystery. Greedy, needs a slap, and bloody wasteful.
Sadly TC is reactive and not proactive, needs to anticipate the play, make runs off the ball and bring others into play but hey he’s still a young man learning his trade, he is not the multi-million footballer just yet.
I also fail to see what Mehmeti brings to the team and I figure he is much like HNM who buzzed around and basically did nothing. If only we could replace him with a potent goal scorer then we could be way higher than our current spot in the division. The 3 games that have impressed me the most this season are Watford, Middlesbrough and Southampton and when you consider where each of those teams are in the Championship pecking order it just points to what we are capable of producing. The next match is where we generally fail against poor teams that will sit back and let us come at them and I hope Liam has some aces up his sleeve to counteract those tactics. In a match where we barely had 30% and won convincingly are wonders to behold but taking what few chances come your way is obviously so important but creating them is even more so. The atmosphere that I saw on the posted image was absolutely unbelievable and full marks to those who created that enjoyable experience - and that was Bristol City and their followers. Bravo.
