Tommorow Line-Up

Krul - A pretty obvious choice here after Forster's blunders, Pardew see's him ahead of the experienced Steve Harper aswell so I'm assuming Krul will start in goal.

Simpson - Everyone is suggesting that Simpson will move to Left-Back and R.Taylor or Gosling will play in RB, but I think Pardew will keep Danny in his most accomplished position.

S.Taylor - With an incredible end to last season, and a real leader on the pitch Taylor surley has to start ahead of Williamson.

Collocinni - Obviously Collocinni will start being the new Captain, no doubt there either.

Jonas - This is not his accomplished position, but linking up with Collocinni could be a good partnership. This would have to be very temporary though as if we don't get a replacement (Unlikely) and Jonas has to play here until January or for the Full Season, I could see him leaving.

Obertan - Pace on one wing to help with Counter Attacks, although I think Marveaux may come on at Half-Time, to provide more energy.

Tiote - Obvious choice especially against Arsenal at Home! Solid Midfielder and was even candidate for Captain so could honestly see no reason he won't start!

Cabaye - Everyone is looking forward to seeing him play, and seeing how this 'Dream Partnership' between him and Tiote Pans out.

Barton - Doubt wether he will start but for me I can see him starting, he could put dangerous balls into the box for Demba and Shola or Demba and Leon if we play a 4-4-2. Also a real leader so for me he has to start.

Demba Ba - Obviously, first and easily the best forward we have CANNOT see him on the bench for this one!

Ameobi - I think Pardew will go for an ariel attack in this game and maybye bring Best on to add some pace, with Lovenkrands also available and *COUGH* Nile Ranger *COUGH*

 

Harper's retained the no.1 shirt though so i dont know about Pardew favouring Krul(however there's been a rumour going round that he's picked up an injury in training)


would like to see a lone striker (Ba) with Gosling/Tiote/Cabaye in CM (with cabaye pushing forward) Jonas on the left (because he gets back and protects the LB) and Marveaux/Barton on the right (doubt barton will start though)

 

hmmmmm, not tooo fussed about the keepers because I think there both quality but could have a 4-2-3-1 formation?

 

Apparently Krul has won the No.1 spot. It would be harsh to give Krul the No.1 shirt as well!

 

and Hung ,Drawn and Quartered will be in the starting line up as 12th man for the 38th season tomorrow giving excellent suport as usual to the lads

 

Il be happy with anything to be honest , but just as long as Shola isnt in the starting line up .

Thats why I included him, would be good if he started! I hope he goes with a 4-2-3-1, with Ba Up Top by, Himself. Cabaye and Tiote CDM's, with Barton CAM, Jonas LAM, and Obertan RAM, Jonas could cover for Left Back. I feel if we get a Left Back and a Striker and hold onto our best players we could be a force!

I would like to see.

GK- Krul has changed my mind in pre-season with some fantastic saves, I fancied Harper for one more year but I think Krul is looking the best shout ability wise.

RB- Simpson, for lack of better choice, hoping he can put his defensive frailties behind him this season.

LB- Really pissed off we dont have a natural left back for the first game of the season, but if Ferguson's fit I would play him there, better choice than Raylor.

CB's- Taylor and Colo, picks itself really, Williamson is an adequate PL CB but Taylor has potential to be great and has excellent aerial ability, and Colo is just mint.

LM- Jonas/Marveaux, honestly not bothered which one, we know we can expect graft from Jonas and hes always a threat, would love to see what Marveaux can do against good opposition though, either will do me.

CM 1- Tiote of course, the beast, should be guaranteed and absolute start every single game available, we all know why.

CM 2- Cabaye gets the nod over anyone else simply because he looks the best available, cant wait to see what the bloke can do.

RM- Barton, was IMO our player of the season in this position last season and is an absolute must play, we need his deliveries for big Demba and need his presence to drag the ****ers forward.

AM- Obertan, yes I would start Obertan and would play him just off the striker, has the ability and pace to get onto the through balls that Cabaye and Barton will undoubtedly play through with their great range of passing, hoping Obertan will be beasting it to prove hes good enough.

ST- Ba, has to be, hes definitely the best striker on our books and I'm looking forward to seeing him bang them in which is what I think he will do, it could take him a few games to adapt, but hey, no time like the present.

And the subs pretty much pick themselves. All in all I cant bloody wait!

I'd play 2 attacking mids, Ba upfront, and i'd put Barton, Tiote and Cabaye behind them.

I think we'll be very much pressurized on the wings, and we'll need Barton and Cabaye close by our fullbacks to help out in defense, but also in positions to move forward. I'd personally go for the wingers being on their crossing side, not the side they can cut in on, so we can give them an ariel threat to deal with, and put them under pressure with crosses on to Ba.
