has the worse disciplinary record in the whole football league. worse in prem............ diakite (queens park rangers) yellow 2, red 1 = points 4 worse in championship......... guerdiora (notts forest) yellow 4, red 2 = points 8 worse in league 1............... upson (yeovil town) yellow 4, red 1 = points 6 worse in league 2............... parkes (bristol rovers) yellow 7, red 1 = points 9 not looking good. when he comes back from his latest match ban, 2 more yellows will get him a further 2 match ban.
But ... is he a dirty player or just over enthusiastic ... or just gets frustrated when were not winning - which to be fair is a lot this season! I saw the first one on Tuesday and I think that was just frustration - a good strong challenge that he just didn't quite get right. The second, so they say was needless - I can't comment on that one as I was long gone!!
Both CD's tend to leap into tackles in part due to the midfield not providing enough cover when needed. Kenneth has us wincing sometimes when he commits to a last ditch or overzealous tackle still at least he is 100% you are not getting past me type of defender. As for Parkes he tends to clear up behind Kenneth's mistakes, also some of the other players are afraid to put their foot in when needed, which means he needs to make a decision, sometimes it works other times oops it does not Remember Byron used to give away needless fouls or pens still was a commited Rovers player just a little rash now and again Parkes will have to learn quickly not to be so rash or teach some of the others to tackle.He is still a bright CD for the future and deserves hid place in the squad who would you play in his position our new striker Virgo COR
