Confirmed my previous doubts. He is the weak link at the back. lacks all ability to compete in the air and just hoofs the ball when at his feet. Certainly no Jagielka, despite what Colin says. O'Dea is twice the player Tom Lees is. The sooner Bruce or Bromby get back so Tom can start his school holidays early, the better
666 Ive said this for 6 months, and got slated for it Just because he's young doesnt mean he will be good, got no scope to get better. No pace, rubbish in the air, a pussy and probably one of the worst players ive seen on the ball.

He certainly won't get any better with O'Dear alongside him giving him 'advice'. Robinson's played CB before, I'd stick him there alongside...errr....an emergency loan CB! Either that or tell Gimpel to forget about not playing this season - you're on from the start against Millwall son. What a mess.

Tom Lees is a quality player, and he has shown enough this season that suggests he will become a solid defender. The problem he has had is that we don't have a right-back to help him on his side of the defence, and O'Dea has not provided a decent partner next to him. O'Dea gets himself out of position too often, keeps losing his man and doesn't seem to talk either, which places a lot of additional pressure on Lees who must feel he is the only defender most of the time. Put an experienced defender next to him and watch Lees go. This kid has all the attributes needed to improve, he just needs a confident defence around him with a good holding midfielder a la Derry in front of him and he will be just the ticket. When the entire team fails to defend like we have done on a too many occasions this season then of course Lees will look bad. I have seen enough to convince me that he is going to be really good for us, and could become a Leeds legend if we add some quality around him.
This is what i hate about some leeds fans. Before last night most of you were claiming we'd sorted it out at the back . Connolly, Lees, O'dea and Robinson had been moulded into a solid back 4 by warnock. Now there all useless again!. Even robinson who was probably MoM in the previous 2 games should now be sent back. It was exactly the same with grayson, we won he was god, we lost it was grayson out.
Swap "Lees" for "O'Dea" and "O'Dea" for "Lees" in the above quote, and you have my take. Funny how we see the same stuff but interpret it exactly opposite
Logi I've always said O'Dea was garbage, even before he came to us, so my opinion on him hasn't changed. Connolly's never been more than average, mostly less than average. Lees confidence is shot and needs a break. All our CB's are useless which is why I'd try Robinson there. He's played there before. Drastic action needs to be taken, last night's result was purely and simply embarrassing, and enough's enough.
Well my take is that its a very average squad barring a few players. It just annoys me that when we win we're world beaters and are gunna go up, then we lose and the whole squad needs sacking! As for last night I think warnock made a massive error picking the exact same team. Many needed a break.
