Hearing he could be leaving on a free transfer to Sheff Wednesday Phil Hay @PhilHayYEP · 10m Other developments - Lees to Wednesday looks to be on. Some suggestions that he will go on a free, which is very hard to believe. #lufc
Pity we couldn't get 500,000 for him we could then go back and offer the million for the Chesterfield defender.
I can't believe we couldn't get a fee for him, if we get the Chesterfield lad as his replacement then all good I guess
Lees for free is bloody laughable, England U21 International ... this lad from Chesterfield, if he's that good and worth a million, why's there not a queue of Championship clubs at least trying to sign him ... I am really getting concerned with our transfer market approach so far, I'd rather keep Lees than let him leave for nowt, it would cost us at least £500k to get a similar quality CB, and at least a million if that CB is an England U21 International ... WTF is going on? Why are we not going out and offering Hunt, Thompson, Norris and Kenny for free, and paying off a slice of their wages if that's the issue? Instead Hock is saying how good he thinks Hunt is and he will be quality for us this season, and saying how surprised he is at the quality in our squad after hearing poor reports before he came here ... oh fcuk off you dumb cnut ... my Robins mate who i go to Swindon games with is also a big Forest Green fan, he played for them many years ago having grown up yards from The Lawn, and he is dumbfounded that Hock got the job ... he says Hock was a total disaster at FGR, he was extremely arrogant and had a bad attitude, everything was his way or bust, and he always came across as on a downer with not a lot of positives coming from his mouth, just a bunch of good old football cliches ... well, I guess we can see why Junior "Invisible Dunce" Lewis has been appointed as his assistant, he simply won't challenge Hock and is simply there to agree to everything and tell the players that Hock is right ... we shall see, and pretty soon, because Millwall is going to be a damn stern test on opening day, and his team better not fold in a boiling cauldron under extreme provocation against a Millwall lot who will be playing out of their skins
Lees isn't worth anything, he's just an extremely poor defender. Agree with you about Hockaday and Junior though. What's the point in getting quality players in with these two muppets in charge? As for Millwall, I saw us fold there last season with 'been there got the t shirt' McDonut in charge. We couldn't possibly perform any worse this time round.
Lees gone, yet another plus. Expect more to follow over coming weeks. The fact no fee involved says a lot about his ability as does the standard of the club signing him
I really thought he would get a fee for him well now we will have Cooper.I think Reo Coker at 30 is not for us
Can't believe you still rely on the so for info Boggers. Does it even update anymore. Even twitter is now a better source of Leeds info
The club can confirm that it has had a second bid for Chesterfield defender Liam Cooper rejected. The club will not be progressing with this matter further and any interest in the player has now ended. There will be no further comment from the club. - See more at: http://www.leedsunited.com/news/art...ited-end-cooper-interest#sthash.LMjsdgih.dpuf The above was on the OS...
Tom Lees was not that bad, he was worth a transfer fee and an okay squad player, yes we did need someone better but now the Cooper deal has gone dead we are short at the back. Look at our CB's as it stands, Wootton and Pearce and if one of them picks up an injury? Not a bad move allowing Lees to go if it was for a fee but there are other players who should have been shown the door ahead of him If he does hand in a written request he will still demand a transfer fee and his availability is now going to be common knowledge amongst other clubs
