Ince has apparently snubbed Milan and says he wants to stay in the prem.
As he's a free agent I really hope we're making some kind of decent effort to sign him.
Yes, he could go to one of the big 4 but will he get game time?.... doubtful.... he's still unproven remember.
I reckon we could get him for wages of, say £50,000 per week... which for a player who I rate at £10m would be a steal over, say a 3 year contract.
He'd get game time with us... hopefully develop (Pardew aside) and we can then sell him on for a tidy profit.

They reckon the compensation to Blackpool will be as much as £8m so it will probably put Fat Mike off.

8 million for an out of contract player with minimum prem experience who's over hyped by his fatha at every available opportunity. We've been linked and I hope to god we're not interested.

If compo was 8-10m, no chance. Surely it won't be though?? Cracking young player but he is out of contract and still has to improve. He didn't even come through their academy!

I'd do a dodgy deal involving Inter Milan buying him (£155,000 compo) then a loan back to us <whistle> I'm sure there is someway to circumvent the rules here

We have proper wingers like Sissoko and Gouffran. Ince has quality, he won't come here

Is Gouffran good enough to be a first team player would be my question.

Sissoko is certainly good enough on the right, although is probably worth another try centrally after flopping initially, as he had time to adapt. Sissoko's problem is he is a box to box midfielder when played centrally. In our team that puts him in direct competition with Anita. Physically Sissoko should be better at it over here but Anita works ten times as hard and more technically gifted. The central midfield area in the PL is brutal, Sissoko would have to significantly step up his game to cope.

We need a squad regardless, so players like Ince could provide competition. Ince openly admitted his work ethic sometimes leaves a bit to be desired, if he wants to make it at the top level, he'll have to sort that issue out (though Pulis was very comlimentary about his effort despite not using him much). The first step though is that self awareness about what your weaknesses are so I'd be pretty confident he could sort it.

Gouffran is a striker. He done well when he came because he doesn't give the ball away and he attacked teams. Then Pardew got him deeper and deeper and he ended up as a full back shield. Talented players shouldn't come here

The value is based on his market value and because Palace took him on a 6 month loan for a 1.5 fee, it's raised his compo. Shocking but that's how it's done apparently. this doesn't apply is he goes abroad. He may have no choice with that compo package.

I'm not convinced he is a striker. He spent as much time in France played wide as part of a three man attack. He did play centrally too. He looked decent for us early last season but he did run out of steam badly. To be fair that was his first full season playing here. Playing as part of a three man attack here is a different ball game here. If we had more of a squad, maybe we wouldn't have asked so much of him. As it is when you have the options of HBA, Marveaux and Obertan, you are somewhat limited.

He didn't run out of steam. He got dropped deeper and deeper until he was doing Jonas role as a 2nd full back

Nathan Redmond, Prem experience, scored a hatrick the other week for England U21 and with Norwich being relegated could possibly be picked up for 4 or 5 Million. Norwich only paid 2. IMO a better palyer with more experience.

Have to disagree, the lad was out on his legs from March onwards. He died most games all season at about the 60min mark. However his workrate in the firts half of the season for those 60mins was electric. He had real pace to his game. He got very one paced towards the end. He did drop deeper too, which is natural when the team is struggling so badly and had lost its key man in Cabaye who was dictating games for us. The manager got into a panic and didn't know how to turn it around and the players suffered. However Gouf would have struggled regardless, his legs had gone.

I'd quite like Redmond. Didn't set the world alight for Norwich but potential there. Him and Ince would be ideal. This compo concerns me massively with Ince though and would rule us out completely.
