Reported in the local press today that we are back in for Ince. Huw Jenkins said that the club might make a move in January given that the player's contract will have run down, hopefully driving down the asking price. He denied claims that we were in for Zaha but did confirm that we were also looking for another defensive player. I think Ince would be a good signing at the right price. What do you guys think?
Yes, definitely. Provided the price is right he could be a good fit for us. Didn't fancy Cardiff though did he, and cited geographical reasons, amongst other things so I suspect he wants to stay oop North.
We are lacking pace on the flanks at times and he has it to burn. Would be a good signing for a couple if million.
Type of player we currently need. As Aussie say's he didn't fancy relocating to us at the time due to becoming a dad at the time I believe. Would be a good signing as long as his dad doesn't interfere too much in any deal.
He will run his contract down and go for a bigger pay packet. Then it will be a lottery but I do not think a top 6 club will want him. I haven't read too much about him recently but he may well have missed his gravy train compliments of his dad.
I think he would be a good buy but would have to be at the right price. I agree I cant see a top 6 club coming in for him. My only other reservation was the way the potential Cardiff move was handled which I dont think did him any favours.
I watched a lot in our reserves but not since, he looked a good player and also played well as an attacking midfielder.
Agree with some other comments about a top 6 club not wanting him....the Cardiff transfer thing won't help him either. He would need to come at the right price for Swansea. I can't see us spending more than $5 million on anyone in Jan.
The potential for playing in the City of Culture may just be what swings it for him . Better option than Zaha atm , he has great pedigree and an end product so yes please .
He would be a good transfer in, but for me it would have to be at the right price, his previous transfer history does not bode a good omen, but I trust in Huw Jenkins to be his usual astute self, and if it happens, then it would be a good acquisition, but I have my doubts that this will come off!.............
Considering LFC get 50% of whatever Blackpool accept for him they'll hold out for higher offers than the 6m valuation by one of the Swans posters earlier in this thread.
He turned Liverpool down because he has more ambition than us, what makes you think he'll join Swansea?
Gerrez, I was under the impression it was 35% and any offer accepted by Blackpool meant Liverpool had 48 hours to match the bid. I really think he will run his contract down in the hope of a higher salary.
Think you meant me taff. I know its only the Mirror but..... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-set-earn-4m-tom-2017067
