What a player. Absolutely brilliant tonight vs Birmingham. I know people will say "It's only against Birmingham" but we never gave him a chance. Would 100% Be a better option than Downing is. Another one bites the dust ey

    Hum was thinking similar.

Heard it was a wicked deflection for his goal though?

To be fair anyone could of been better Downing this season.

I said this over a year ago, he has pace, a good left foot and a real shame we let the kid go. A natural talent.

ermmmm.... the guy has done well for himself but...

    1. this guy was not as good as silva, sterling or suso at the reserve level.

    2. silva is doing ok on his loan, better than what ince did at notts county.

    3. most importantly this is the kid who's got his daddy in his ear and wasn't going to sign up long term. in other words daddy was influencing him and we were not prepared to deal with that. he was out for a nice step move just like pops.

all in all i congratualte him but he's still got a lot to do for his career. we've got sterling and suso coming up so all in all do you want to swap one of them for ince on the back of one viewing?

Getting tedious. Let you off the hook so many times.

O come on B4F! It was set up there for someone to hit out of the ballpark. I stepped up to the plate and delivered. Can you blame me? :emoticon-0115-inlov

Apparantly he wanted more wages than we were prepared to offer him for someone of his age, so he refused to sign a contract and the rest is history. Good player, but Paul demanded too much of us for what he was worth.

Thanks B4F <hug> Good lucky at the weekend. I kind of want you to win to put chelsea in their place. But I really dont want all the bragging about 2 trophies vs our 0 trophies that it will lead too <grr>

    Cheers

    Yeah I can understand that.

Much like my feelings on Chelsea in Champs League. Part of me want them to win as there are a fair few Englishman in there and it is against the Germans.

But we'll bloody never hear the end of it from that lot!

He is a very talented player. Letting him go was just one of the many awful decisions made by Daglish...

I watched him play a lot for our reserves and didn't think he was good enough. Right to let him go imo.

Remember him playing against our youth team in the FA Youth cup final and he looked out of his depth then <yikes>. But, fair play to the guy for developing the way he has. Outshone Nathan Redmond (other big talent in the championship) tonight.

Think he's flattered a little bit by Blackpool's attacking style. When they play, there's always a lot of space on the pitch. Not sure he'd be any good at working in tight spaces and breaking down defences. He suits them, but not us.

Just seen the goal on Focus, **** shot going well wide taking a huge deflection. Gone down as a O.G.

No point in even think about this one (letting him go) was never going to make it for us and doubt he'll ever really make an impact at Prem level.

Leave him be, he has to find comfort from somewhere...

    Ben Smith ‏ @BenSmithBBC

Grant Holt puts Norwich 2-1 up. Incredible. Got a fortunte deflection off Gibbs but Arsenal look wide open at the back.

1 point off 5th and 4th now and they've both got a game in hand on Arsenal. Albeit Newcastle's is against Man City. Tottenham's is against Villa away, so that should be a win for them.

They look likely to finish 4th now tbh. And that could mean Europa league next season.
