Not going away this rumour. I think he's absolutely hopeless personally, but he's right up Bruce's Street, so I think it's got legs this one. I don't think he's better than what we've got in the middle... We need a proper player there to improve.
Everton are better than us but they're not so much better than us that we should be hoovering up their cast offs. He doesn't improve us, I'd prefer to hold on to the Longstaffs. God we're ****e.
Showed promise at Everton when he came onto the scene, and he's quickly become a washed up nobody. I wonder if he'll be any worse than the last "Everton wonder kid" we helped ourselves, ie Gosling.
This reminds me so much of Michael Johnson at Man C. I'm not suggesting Tom Davies is a party boy like him, I have no idea. However he hasn't progressed after looking great since bursting on the scene. I can't see much value is adding him to the Sean Longstaff category of hoping. We need a guarantee in the middle of the pitch, have done for ages. We'd need to actually get the cheque book out and that won't be happening.
Not impressed with this signing at all, but if we did sign him I'd give him a chance to improve or show something we might have missed.
Better than Shelvey, more mobile, doesn't mind getting stuck in, better hair. Hendrick get's a lot of stick here but while he's boring and not great he's a versatile engine room midfielder who can get around the pitch and having just come in don't expect to not see him stick around - hopefully as back up. Wouldn't take Davies over Hayden or the Longstaff's though - similar level to Sean and more experience than Matty who needs a loan move (could be a good deal if we take Davies on a 6 month loan with option to buy and let Matty go out and get some games in League 1/Championship).
