The centre-half suffered the injury during Sunderland’s behind-closed-doors game against Hartlepool United last week and has already undergo surgery on the problem. It’s a blow to the 19-year-old, who trained and played with the first-team squad during pre-season and had been on the fringes of Dick Advocaat’s plans. ---------------------- Shame for the lad..... Swift recovery Tom
Bollocks! Wanted to see the lad playing or more involved - makes the lack of a new centre half more prominent!
Are we fated in producing promising central defenders from academy who get injured - hope the recovery goes well for him - gutted - KTF but ETU
I certainly hope he does not end up being jettisoned like the other 2 promising academy central defenders - who decides I wonder .........
Way more got an injury that kept him out a similar amount of time while he was is a similar position as beadling this year, on the edge of the squad, doesn't seem to have stopped him! Never know it mightn't hold him back too long.
D think it was injuries re academy centre backs - Whatmore (even while injured ) is just immense - future England regular & role model - he has progressed whilst studying and getting a ! st class degree - i m m e n s e........ KTF but ETU
It's a pity whatmore is struggling to be fit for tomorrow.he would do well been brought on in the later stages
Aye . . . . The Mariners are playing at Brandon this afternoon, where my best mate now lives (having moved a few months ago - who would choose to do that if it wasn't for a woman ?) and I will be visiting beforehand p.s. he lived in Arnold Street in the Colliery previously, so maybe it wasn't as difficult a decision as it initially seemed
No - I m just another long suffering emotionally wrecked Sunderland Supporter - but you're entitled to that emotional smily quote opinion............ glad the post was before game yesterday - probably been very emotional afterwards .............
Beadling just put the U21s 1-0 up against Norwich... With a penalty! Got to love the novelty of a penalty taking CB
Just an idle thought that was all. He does seem to be taking more of an interest in the young `uns than his predecessors.
