Well I just knew the season would really start once the transfer window closed. The QPR soap has taken a u turn from what looked like would be a disaster season under the ownership of flavio briatore and bernie ecclestone, but now things look brighter, new owners, great signings and some money! - lets hope it all stays that way! A bit of side track there but im just so proud of the performance the team is showing, i take my hat off to Neil. Never doubted him for a minute.
We seem to have come along way since that 5-0 drubbing at Forest 17 months ago on a cold Tuesday night in Nottingham and freefall towards Division 1. We were really bad that night and it could have been 8-0. Who would have thought Sir Neil Warnock became boss weeks later and a year and a half later we are in the top 8 of top teams in England. Bring on Man City, Chelsea and Utd at Loftus Road.
Have to say I'm extremely concerned our defence isn't up to taking on Barcelona in the Champions League next season ;-)
He's been branded public enemy no.1 in some quarters, someone people love to hate but after seeing his performances in front of the camera this season, I don't know what all the animosity is all about tbh. He's as down to earth as you can get, no bs and tells things exactly the way he sees it. Gives credit where it's due and modest in victory. Like us, he's just living the dream and I'm glad our owners were able to give him the chance to have a good crack at the big time. No one deserves the chance more than sir neil.
I said here http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/80973-The-Season-Starts......-Wednesday.?p=1171224#post1171224 'the season starts wednesday' as in when the transfer window closes
You're right. We should've listened. God knows what we were thinking before you joined the board Q.P.R.!
do i sense sarcasm haha lol, this post was just to say how proud I was of QPR yesterday! Cant wait for the next home match, full house do you think?
Just teasing Q.P.R.. We're all buzzing on what's occuring mate. As for the full house. We're not known for it but getting closer. I know there are a lot more than 18,000 Rs out there so why don't we go to every game? Income and affordability will be one reason... prem popularity and perceived sell outs will be another - but for those who can afford it, experience and stories of being messed about online and at the ground will take a concerted effort by the club to live down imo. It'll be interesting to see what the club does to address the full house phenomena.
Interesting to note the PL crowds on Saturday which were averaging around 23k or so. Seems like everything is totally polarized around the 'big' clubs and even long term Premiership stalwarts such as Blackburn have failed to build a bigger fan base. Perhaps we don't need a larger ground after all.
LOL at the video under your comment Gotta love joey. But I can't help but think how long will it be before his temper gets the better of him and he ends up getting sent off. For example he got annoyed last match over nothing really. Hmmm.
I agree, but it aint gonna happen! Onwards and upwards, Come on U rrrrrs ! I told you so.... you didn't !
