The boo-boys surfaced on Radio Bristol after the game again, these guys opinions can pretty much be disregarded as they have an agenda with no interest in the manager succeeding anymore, they just want him gone and would undoubtedly still feel that way even if we went unbeaten to the end of the season. Today's performance was not brilliant and we rode our luck a couple of times early on HOWEVER, we worked really hard first half closing Derby down, putting in some solid challenges and the crowd saw this and reacted to it and got behind the team. Then our usual Keystone cops defending act took over and we found ourselves 2-0 down but EVEN THEN AND DESPITE THIS, the team were applauded off the pitch by the majority at half time in recognition of their efforts. This is in direct contrast to those claiming a passionless and disinterested performance - total crap... The second half trundled along but in the last half 15-20 mins we created more than enough chances to win the game, it was just not our day today. "Clueless McInnes" the bloke behind me kept shouting at the end. Tell you what mate, why don't you try shouting that at the players in our team who are quite obviously the weak links in the team. We still have some players who repeatedly play the ball sideways and across the back. This is because they can't do anything else, they simply don't have the ability and with January with us shortly, I would say that the number of games they have left in the first team can probably counted on one hand.... This club NEEDS a period of stability, not ANOTHER manager. This one must be allowed to completely clear away the remnants of the Johnson era whose lack of ability has now been badly exposed and we can then start moving forward. Gary Johnson has a lot to answer in the way that this club has deteriorated in the years with his pattern of negative, keep it tight and run around a lot philosophy. It has badly scarred this club and the only way we can move forward is to extract the remainder of the cancer...
I don't think you can blame this on the Johnson era, not seen a game this season other than the tele and internet, travelling from Pembrokeshire is a 300 mile plus round trip, i am not willing to part with hard earned cash on this lot. That said this is largely DMc's team and he has to take the flack, can't see us staying up tbh
You're blaming a manager for what is happening now who left the club 3 years ago That is crazy ! Its also untrue. We have no idea what constraints GJ was working under at the time. Fact is there have been 4 managers in the past 5 years, and every single one of them has failed royally to rebuild our Div 2 defence. To me that really doesn't add up.
I am Shiny, who are the 2 weakest links..? Fontaine and Marv and even you I think wouldn't dispute the latter anymore. Who's players are these...? As for don't play them then, I agree and I think they won't be around after January...
So you're blaming johnson but mciness is a saint in all this.. Gary johnson.. our second most succesfull manager in our history with some blumbering scottish fool who puts a target man left midfield..mciness plays ****e like fontaine foster elliot every single game.. he's bought about 8 ****e players he has no tactical awarness.. if we don't get rid we will go down.. and with 41 million pound of debt it could get worse MCINESS OUT
Sadly for you, your wish will NOT be granted The manager has to make the best of what he has available and by the way, Steady offered a threat from the wing, or did you not see that...? Let's see who comes in the window and probably more importantly, who goes out. If we get a decent centre half in who can play a bit, Fontaine will be out of the team and with a creative midfielder Marv will be finished and we have the players to survive comfortably....
So you don't think that Heaton Cunningham New footballing centre half Wilson Foster Adomah New creative midfielder Danns Bryan Baldock/Taylor Davies/Stead playing to their capabilities aren't good enough to survive in this division then...?
Of course I do, get rid of foster replace bryan with a proper LM get rid of the manager and we shall be fine.. oh and get 2 CB'S and 1 CM and we will climb the ladder before we know it But this club isn't ambitious.. so we will keep mciness.. let him waste more money in the window buying more scottish **** and go down with ease..
from OUR current squad Heaton Cunningham Adomah davies Baldock They would be my only starters we need a compelte over haul

Shiny for **** sake stop posting twice to get your post figure up For all who says Elliott should be first on the team sheet, what are you thinking now? Get rid of him Fontaine bring back Joe Edwards make Foster be his understudy. Don't sign McManus and replace them with new CB's get a new defensive midfielder. Our list is pretty big!! I agree with what you say Prem, the one thing I don't was to play Stead on left wing surely Joe Bryan was doing ok there but if replace him play Davies there as he is used to that position.
All the positives on this thread make me smile but I just don't get it particularly when I hear things like DM needs more time and there were some positives out on the pitch today etc etc. May I remind you that the only positives that most of us are interested in should be the results on game day and when I see reports of comments made by certain players then my blood starts to boil. Do you really think the major culprits give a hoot and the threat of being moved out would almost certainly make their respective days. The question then arises as to who should carry the can for the debacles that show up each way week to ply their trade in the most non-committed way possible. Are you going to fire all the under-performing players or do you target their bosses? The chance of the entire board resigning is remote (some would say unfortunately) so it leaves just one person with their head above the parapet. Guess who? Sorry but sticking our heads in the sand will not raise the dead and if we carry on much longer down this path you know where we will be next season.
