......confirms that Danny Ayala did want to come back to us: "I know Cameron pretty well from playing against him in youth and reserve team football. I've been talking to him and he's loving it here, although unfortunately he is injured at the moment. Hopefully I can enjoy me time here, too. I also spoke to Daniel Ayala before I signed here. He was disappointed that he couldn't stay here longer, but he loved it here." http://www.hullcityafc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10338~2304430,00.html
i always find it funny to hear a player or manager say "we" when talking about the club... especially when it's about a time when they weren't there ... remember NP saying " we had a tough season last year when we got relegated" or something similar... i guess anyone would talk like that but it' always a bit weird i find
Great to see all these very talented youngsters enjoy been at City, how good a squad could we have if Manonne, Hobbs, Gerrard, Evans and Amoo all signed permanent deals in the summer! No doubt some mug will slag Pearson off though....
Why didn't the ayala deal go ahead then? I mean, we've loaned amoo off liverpool so why would they have had an objection to us re-loaning ayala? Especially after hodgson had left. Were we not interested or something?
Sounds familiar- some people would be happier with signing the likes of Mcshane and Kilbane- not to mention Folan!
He'll be watched in the reserve game against Leeds on Wednesday, before any decision is made, but the addition of Amoo has to make a deal less likely.
Seriously though its great for the future that they have this policy of going for hungry young up and coming players instead of your cynical mercenaries and Folan types that seemed to fit the bill before.
Unless someone knows better his initial deal was an emergency loan deal (his joining date is down as September) which we structured well to get him through as many games as possible. Any one player is only allowed to join the same club on emergency loans for a maximum of 93 days in the season. Ayala had met that with us so we could only extend the deal with a long term loan. By the end of January he was still injured so Liverpool wouldn't let him out oor we wouldn't take him in case the injury was more serious than thought. Once we hit the end of January he ceased to be an option for us.
That would actually make sense. Although didn't one of the pearsons say at one point they were trying to get him back? Would love to see him join in the summer
Surely ayala could attract bigger interest than us though. I'd take a punt on him if I were a low end prem team tbh. The guy oozes class for someone his age
Funnily enough, maybe Ayala's loan deal to Derby could work in our favour. If he's not exactly tearing up any trees at Derby, it would surely cool interest from some other potentially interested parties? Just a thought, but i can remember a few people saying at the end of the Derby game he looked like he'd rather be somewhere else, so maybe he isn't impressing as much as he did here before Christmas. Looking forward to seeing this Ammo kid play, will have top wait till Norwich game though as i can't make Burnley next tuesday.
