Would have them both, Bertrand is a fantastic LB and if we could get him even if it set us back about and we had to pay around 6m or so it would be worth it the lad is class. As for Fletcher at first I thought you were on about Darren lol but I think if we got Fletcher from Wolves he would do a great job for us, need 2 others though IMO (Kone and Rodallega for me)
Id rather take Figueroa on a free. We need to treat loans as a last resort. Its the reason we haven't kicked on. I hope Fletcher is our main target. He's so under rated its unreal. RVP and Rooney would do well to get double figures at Burnley and Wolves
My feeling on the loans is different, if we can get 1 or 2loan players that really improve us then they can help us finish higher up the league than just going for some average player for the fact he will of signed on a permanent deal. If we got 1 or 2 good players on loan then as I said they can help us finish higher which means it gives us a year to go out and scout the right player and gives us a better chance of getting a better quality of player if not bringing the loan player in permanently .
I dont think loans is the reason we havnt kicked on but you have to see that if we get Bertrand on loan for the season we can spend more on strikers/midfielders and worry about signing a new left back next summer, which also is more time for one to become available or free. Add to that you also get a hungry up and coming youngster keen to push on, look at Welbeck and Evans for instance. Evans helped us to promotion and Welbeck helped us to safety and top 6 at one point so it can work out well if used correctly.
Yeah THIS!! I don't mind loans but them being a massive percentage (buzz word of the day - third thread I've used it on!) of your squad is an issue - 1 or 2 fine but no more - the only other issue with loaning is that the player is missing for 2 games of the season guaranteed - I wouldn;t pay 6m to loan him though!! Only UAE clubs are that stupid Flatcher is a very good target man and knows where the goal is and MON has stated he wants to get in there quickly and get players signed - looking forward to an exciting summer
