Bit sad we didn't get past Sunderland as this competition was there for the taking as big clubs playing their B teams, tonights game a prime example
Not really their B teams just the strongest teams they were able to field. Players either missing through injury, covid or AFCON, still miles too strong for us. Did you not see the side the scum put out against Spurs, over 2 legs they'd annihilate us unfortunately.

A little torn watching Citeh v Chelscum.
On the one hand a Chelsea win would at least keep the title race a little bit in doubt, whilst, well it's ****ing scum.
Nice to see Citeh's team made up of half of England's team.
Sterling giving that ponce Alonso a torrid time.
Tuchel strangely has left out Mount.

Brilliant goal by De Bruyne puts Citeh 1-0 up.
Chelsea have been so negative. Everything played backwards and sideways.
Tuchel has had no desire to try to win.

With those results it looks like Blackburn go top, at least for a few hours......

EDIT....... 2nd on goal difference

Bit of a ramble, but......

The thought struck me during the day, I was working, honest, that the 3 lads that have gone to AFCON to represent their countries were all products of our youth structure, okay only Ozzie has been with us since he was a kid, but both Seny and Ilias have been developed by the likes of Chris Ramsey, Paul Hall etc, they've learnt their craft coming through the U23's then going out on loan for a couple of seasons in L1 & L2 to toughen up in real football, none of this tricks and flicks academy stuff, then both Seny and Ilias are among the first names on the team sheet and Ozzy is a more than useful back up defender who can play anywhen across the back.........

This is a big success story for the club and one that we should all be proud off........

Pretty sure Eze would be around the England squad now if he hadn't got that injury too. I know he didn't start with us but we honed his skills and toughened him up. Haamerlinin , sorry for spelling is an international too, albeit for a small country and he's been with us for decades lol. I don't think it will be long before Wilock is hovering around international status either ! Oh and we've turned Dykes into Scotland's number 9
